i agree that everyone has their own opinion, but asking why the project is taking so long isnt giving your opinion, its just asking a question the op already answered. you may not think its a good answer, but he addressed it nonethelesstramp_drift240 wrote:

ok..i've been pretty nice about your comments but if you don't like what i'm doing or how long it's taking, then why bother coming to my build thread......let me explain one more time.......my body man took off a year to finish another car he had before he got mine in, i knew that before i took it to him. second of all, he got offered a job he couldn't say no to, pays really well but has nothing to do with cars or auto body work, so he now works on my cars a handfull of days out of the month, wich still comes to 750 to 1000 a month, i don't have all the money to pay him even if he finished it next month soyokota180sx wrote:why the **** is this taking 2 years
yes i bought the kit but did modify the rear bumper, front bumper, mirriors, rear quartes, tail lights, ect....you get my pointtramp_drift240 wrote:
it isnt completely custom if he bought the body kit for it.
i agree with yokota, this is taking a super long time.
are you kidding me, why buy a s200 and 350z......lol...i have a list of import cars that i've wanted to own and of drove.tramp_drift240 wrote:why buy 2 cars like that when he could just get the 240 faster. i mean, there is some custom work involved, but 2+ years?
DMan II-40 wrote:If yo read the tread it lets you know why it is taking so long. He is sort of paying as he goes. Also he has bought 2 cars (350z and S2000) over the course of this project. Just some things to consider...

thanks guy....not only for backing me up, but for getting meAjax wrote:Did you read the thread, Tramp? This is more than just a body kit. Sure it started life as a body kit, and then each piece was massaged, modified, whatever to make things perfect and better than the original kit.And now they're chopping the roof...Plus the guy doing the work is doing this on off-business hours. If all you're going to do is complain about how long its taking, don't bother posting.
if we were chopping the front windsheild, i could see it being a "hot rod" thing but were prolly going to make the roof smaller and lay the front and back down to give it a more aerodynamic/cleaner look...as far as suspension mods, i've really been considering air ride, ive seen drift cars in japan and some cars on the track with it, i wouldn't be slamming it to the ground but would be nicer to get on trailers, get on a lift, help in bad areas...there is a company who claims to make the worlds lightest air ride, i'm looking into that, and ofcorse i might be going with a complete SPL front and rear kit.....and yes you have your right to your own opiniontramp_drift240 wrote:lol, yes ive read the thread.
the kit itself could look sweet with the right wheels and tire setup. along with all necessary suspension mods. but from what ive read in here, im kinda iffy.
and the chop-top idea is a hotrod thing. i dont think it looks good at all.

this is by far the coolest thing i have ever seen. if it lookes like that when your done OGM sex. also where did you get the hatch from i have wanted this for a while and can't fine it anywhere.Sky240PWR wrote:well...you still have a nice car and you got married, congrats!
for you that follow, you know i do some pretty ****ty photoshop, so here's one showing the difference in what i want to do as far as chop top, rear vents, ect... and i also included the original pic that way you can tell how much it changes....i think the inverted hatch+chopped= pure sex!..lol
well.....hopefully, we can just make the roof smaller and lay the front and back down, cut the quarter windows and would have to rig up something for the side ones somehow...shinmei2006 wrote:how does on go about doing the roof like that? (chopped) i assume a new "custom" windshield is in order. also where did you get the mr2 style hatch from.
so.......i didn't know what NRRBA stood for, i googled it.....I first came up with this.......National Reptile Retailers and Breeders Association, i was like "what the *%@*".....but then found your thread......lol...mine runs, just not able to drive...lolStricNyne wrote:i think we have both had our cars not running for the same amoutn of time, but i am presidente of NRRBA

my 4x4
he said the front bumper sits 5'' from the ground, and thats without lowering it, might run intp some trouble there?
ok.......here's another pic, the first pic will be the original, the second pic, lowered, and third, lowered, and chopped!
i can't wait till he actually does the roof, right now he's gonna work on the front vents, wheel wells, back bumper.
