That last pic you posted with the roof chopped looks like some kind of supercar.

Black around the inverted hatch Black around the tail light area vents in the rear bumper

As aggressive as the car is, I think the vents will look good and the black hatch and tail light area will just add to the exotic look of the car as a whole. Kinda like a Porsche from the front, kinda like a Ferrari from the back, but the end result is something totally unique and for that you gain my applause.

I like this project more and more as it progresses. Keep up the good work dude.

You need bigger wheels with that kit.

next time i'm up there, i'll do it

thanks!....didn't know if everyone knew or not, but there will be a test at the end of the day!

thanks guys, I'm very happy with my body man, he's an artis....thats why i'm not rushing him..........and as far as supercar, thats the look i was going for, i've stated from the begining, i wanted to build the most exotic 240 hatch ever built......now whether i do that or not, only time will tell!
Kalypso123 wrote:I know I'm late but what wheels do you have
they're called Tremont, at the time(like 5 years ago)...i called like 7-8 wheel places and asked if i could 18x11 in 4 lug, everyone told me no, so i just bought the rims that were on the Jacquemond demo car, i thought it would be easier cause i already knew they fit.....they're a lightwheight 3-piece wheel, i'm happy with them but might need some JDM rims if i want to be on any covers
jessetang wrote:You need bigger wheels with that kit.
i think with some wider tires, it will look better, and maybe a small spacer if i need one.....but don't know, don't really like spacers.

I saygod luck for what you like but I personally could never kill the 240 like that. it would look nothing like itself.

Wow.... its really looking awesome. The chopped roof would look awesome with it. In all honesty when I first stumbled upon this thread I thought it was gonna be another ricey too much bling 240, but you totally changed my look upon it. Congrats on the car, the thing is looking awesome.... makes me very jealous!

Definetely it's got the supercar looks, very nice. The front is going to need lots of lowering to make it look good with those tires, unless you drive on glass is going to get damaged. I guess it will be an issue only if you drive it on regular roads. The fitment of the bumper is perfect and the hatch is going to look good. If rear visibility is poor, get a license frame camera to help maneuver around and extra safety.

I have been following your thread for quite some time. I remember when you first filled us in on your total investment for the car ($100k+) I questioned the amount of money dropped in the 240 vs. buying something brand new (GTR35!), but after seeing this, I appreciate your dedication and can't wait to see the finished product. It will be a truly unique car!

Quite an amazing build. Your skill with fiberglass is above par, not to mention the over all vision that you have come up with. +1

Keep those updates coming!

the front and rear bumper won't be glassed on, that was my main concern, and i do have a 350z, s2000, and this 240sx...so....it won't be a dd cause i have 3 to choose from but thats not to say i won't drive it on the street, i don't even have a truck or trailer so no trailer queen here!......give the bumper some time, it'll come around, and if you still don't like, it's cool .....not everyone will like what i'm doing, thats a part of life.

only thing i can see doing to the front bumper, is make that middle vent bigger so it matches up to the top of the 2 along side it.

Because some people have patience for a completely custom car to be fabricated. I waited longer than that for my 2 engine rebuilds...

it isnt completely custom if he bought the body kit for it.

If yo read the tread it lets you know why it is taking so long. He is sort of paying as he goes. Also he has bought 2 cars (350z and S2000) over the course of this project. Just some things to consider...

why buy 2 cars like that when he could just get the 240 faster. i mean, there is some custom work involved, but 2+ years?

Did you read the thread, Tramp? This is more than just a body kit. Sure it started life as a body kit, and then each piece was massaged, modified, whatever to make things perfect and better than the original kit.And now they're chopping the roof...Plus the guy doing the work is doing this on off-business hours. If all you're going to do is complain about how long its taking, don't bother posting.

Also, IIRC, he's using an RB. It'll be plenty fast.

lol, yes ive read the thread.

the kit itself could look sweet with the right wheels and tire setup. along with all necessary suspension mods. but from what ive read in here, im kinda iffy.

and the chop-top idea is a hotrod thing. i dont think it looks good at all.

everyones entitled to their opinion on the project, Ajax, so dont start e-bashing me for throwin' mine out there.
