I was showing my husband's friend (who brang his ricer companion); our newly swapped s13 blacktop sr20det in our 95 240sx. He was like "nice"...he saw the big GReddy FMIC and said.."how many pounds do you run" I was like "we're running stock boost of 7 psi for now" He's like.."does that convert to 4 pounds." WHAT THE???!!! LOL I was like "nooo it's 7 psi, psi stands for pounds of boost FAG" except i didnt say the "fag" part. lol

ok, this happened today...This kid in my school has a 4 door saturn and he kept telling me it came with a stage 3 drag turbo system or something. I was obviously doubtful. So finally i was walking by and the kid was by his car, so i make him pop the hood. I was like yo man, theres no turbo there! he points to the downpipe out of the exhaust manifold and goes "nah dude, its down there, its like, sideways, under the motor" hahha, a sideways turbo, under the motor, in a stock turbo some kids...

in rom chicago, so this is a swarming nest of ricers of all kinds. i was at HIN last summer, and while waiting for a cab, we were watching all the souped up cars leave and go on the ramp to lakeshore drive and make that sweet BOV sound. well, most of these guys were smart people, but this one guy wanted to show off, so he went on the ramp too fast fishtailed, countered, fishtailed, countered, adn hit the wall. he maanged to break, so nothing happened to him, but his car had to be towed, it sux, but i couldnt help but laugh at what he did

heres something that ricers do just happen to me on the way home, guy's in a geo prizm with front bumper, intake, fake dual exhaust, and lowered, (all 100hp of em'' rihgt) anyway im on the whitehorse pike (2 lane lil highway) and i spotted him behind a civic (girl that i know) well im like a good 1000ft ahead of both em b/c they just got on. well i turn off and the two of em turned off. the girl lives in my neighborhood and the guy in the geo lives in his car b/c he's, i assume, doesn't have a home. i stop at a light and i guess the guy in the geo heard my exhaust, do he starts revenat the light. IM like right all 100hp of your auto geo, please. so the light turns green and i we begin to drive, i notice that he's all up the girls a$$ im like ok fag try that wit me and i'll burn the shti out of you. so about a mile down i look back and now he's behind me. so im like ok it's on. so we get to another light "fart fart" he goes at it again. me being the mature one dosent not engauge in this childish game not only that there where 2 cops sit wating so the light turns green and he procceds up my a$$ im like ok so he gets next to me (in a no passing lane) looks at me and then floors it. i chuckle and i just accelrated as soon as he got about 1 1/2 cars ahead me and i as easy as that caught up to him only in third gear at 5G RPMS. another light and he guns it and turns the corner and puts his hazards on, im like Hmmm pu$$y!
After I helped my brother install his headers on his prelude, we went out to test drive it to see how it felt. On of my brother's little ricer friends who has a civic with stock wheels (no hubcaps though, those weighed the car down too much, I swear to GOD that's what he said) and some ****ty exhaust I sold him, rolled up next to us at a red light, he started talking to my brother who told him that we just installed the headers in the car, to which he replied "kewl, now you can get a turbo to fit!". His heart was in the right place, but his head was insanely up his azz, he was like arguing with me when I tried to explain to him that you can't use both in the same setup. I don't know why, but he tried to race us after that, like if he won it would prove his point, we beat him like he was a red-headed stepchild.
Another incident was with my friend's brother's little friend, who is 16 and owns a 94 supra NA, which came with 18" blitz rims (there is no justice in this world). His parents paid 30k to have it shipped here from new york. Anways, I spent like half an hour trying to explain to him how a car works, I popped open his hood and showed him "this is the intake, air goes in through here to the throttle body, into the intake manifold, and so forth". After half an hour of talking to him, I was hoping to have inspired him in some way to start making his car go faster, maybe start doing some work under the hood. After all that, he asked me " Is it harder to do a Silvy (yes, it's a silvy, not silvia) headlight conversion than a skyline? Cause skylines look kewl, but if its too hard then I'll just do a silvy conversion". I've never wanted to bytch-slap anyone so hard in my whole life. Same thing goes for a friend of mine who owns a 91 300zx tt and doesn't understand shyt about cars but still wants to work on it. Maybe if I stopped caring about cars so much, I'd wake up with an FD in my garage istead of my civic, that seems to be the pattern, no one my age who appericiates or deserves a nice car gets them, but these ignorant ricers seem to be getting them left and right.....

damn i actually read all seven pages!! i think that a lot of the ricers came after "the fast and the furious." I hated that it ruined the import scene. so many ricers came in after that movie who didnt even like imports. you gotta blame the movie industry for such bad facts and giving the future ricers a hopeless dream of increasing up to 40 hp with the usual boltons exhaust, intake, and headers.

The funniest thing that I've heard from my friend...so far.
There is this guy, he's kinda, well, slow. One day, his, yea, his civic doesn't start, go figures. After a week of finding out what's wrong with it, he had new alternator, distributor, starter, almost every electrical **** that he can put in his civic. Well, my friend decided to see what's up. It ended up that the carpet was stuck under the clutch pedal, and the car won't start because...yea yea yea, you know the rest. Stupiest **** ever.
He told me another story about this lady who came to his shop had something check for the car. After she got the car, later on that day, she called him up. She was saying her radio doesn't work. My friend was like, if you can logically explain how moving your car into my shop messed up your radio, I'll buy you a new one. Well, she came back to his shop and he jumped in the car, looked around, turned on the POWER button, and the radio worked again. Some people huh?

My little brother has this friend. His parents were gunna buy him a 2000 mustang GT that some older guy had been beefing up, he couldn't tell me what the mods were. So anyway, I asked him if it was a stick. He said "yeah it has a stick between the seats". So I cut him some slack and tried to narrow things down by saying "does it have a clutch?". He didn't know what a clutch was...
At that point it told him "well, just make sure to check the blinker fluid before you drive it."
Later I told my brother to try to convince him to get an automatic convertible V6 mustang, because it get's better gas milage. He did. Wow. Poor kid, I didn't think he'd actually do it.

these two examples are, i think, beyond rice, and just plain automotive disgrace
1. i saw an old station wagon, the kind with the wooden exterior, driven by a punk 16 y/o asian KID (no offense to anyone), with a big coffee can exhaust
2. on an old BMW 3 series, the ones with the muffler mounted dead center in the rear, the guy took the bumper off so he could stick a coffee can on that
i've probobyl seen more, but those atrocities stick out the most

these 2 conversations were literally minutes apart.kid-We just installed a 200 hp intake on my dads sprint car.me-(trying not to laugh) really!? Too bad thats impossible.kid-whatever. we've got 700 hp and I bet we could run 7's.me-wow! (he looked away but I kept staring at him for over a minute straight with a blank stare on my face, until my friends laughter made him look at me. I;m much bigger than him so he didn't do anything about it, plus I've known him for awhile.

About that stupid vin diesel quote. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt double clutching just used for old non-syncromeshing transmissions, and some big trucks? Maybe there's some stupid reason to do it in a more modern car, but i cant imagine why. That's been bugging me for a while. Perhaps that's why it's posted, i'm just checking.

But I have a new one...Well I dont know if this is just plain stupid or ricer stuffs either way its funny....My TECH teacher, as in he is sappose to teach us about technology asks a kid if the cams were under the vavle cover...now I know what you are thinking but its an Old PUSHROD 8 with a roots supercharger....and when the kit said it wasnt in the vavlecover the teacher said he was wrong and that it was right there...thats the last time I lisen to him oh and im going to race his porche 911 carrea 4 non turbo 91 agaisnts my SR powered 240 with 14psi of boost, ill make sure he knows not to hate on nissans....Anyways hes done some other stupid ****...like call the Daytona Speedway the Daytona 500...dum fuk

I always suspected euro taillights really did give you an edge after all why would all the honda-ricers in my town use em. The funniest though is when my buddy at work just got a rx-7 last month. He comes and tells me and is like, "first im gonna get some chrome DUBS.then i'll workon the engine internals to make it faster." whattcha gonna get? i ask him, "I'm gonna get cams and do a valve job and port/polish"he says, so I'm like"i can do a valve job AND port it for only $300" hes like "WOW thats cheap", my conscience got the better of me and i educated him about his new car. a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing.:rolleyez
