is it me, or do ricers only look at other ricers? i mean, if i pulled up to some civic with a tatally stock looking 240sx and a turbo or sr under the hood, but no show of it, he wouldn't even bother trying to race me, erc, now, if i spend the couple of g's on the body instead of engine work, he'd rev his little engine and all, this is not always the case, but seems that ricers are attracted to flashy things and loud exhausts like moths to lights, poor kids

Ok. Another reason FNTF can suck it. I pulled up to a red light next to a 350z. Having an S14, of course I was eyeing it. There was some teenager driving it and he started revving his engine wanting to race. I figured I'd have my a$$ handed to me, but what the heck, I wanna see how I do against it. Light turned green and we started off about equal in first, but at the top of my first his nose was ahead of mine. When I switched second, I stepped on the gas and then heard the crunching of a bad shift...then I just left him. At the next light we were behind a couple cars and I lowered my window and yelled out, "Dude, what happened?" He was like, "I would have beat ya if I still had my civic, but I'm still trying to get the timing down on double clutching this car." I didn't know whether to laugh at him or cry for the car. All I did was roll up the window and drive off...laughing of course. OH yeah, also when we took off from the second light, I was behind a couple cars and he was behind a car and an Explorer. He spun his tires and came DAMN close to hitting the Explorer. Damn kids. These are the type of kids I wish I could send to Singapore to get caned.

out of all civics ive ever seen, only two were decent, in recent memory, both are black , new styling, tinted, coupes, one is my friends, its tinted pretty dark, stock, and a nice factory looking wing, looks nice, great cruising/chillin car, the other was the same with a body kit, nice sounding exhaust, underbody lights, it actually looked nice and tastefull, not tacky, figures that ive only seen two of em, cause there's at least one honda on every block here

point is, most civics arent worth barfing over, but some are nice, but they few and far in between

at least one, there are 2 on my block, but one's an Oddyssey, which doesnt count, but we got my neighbors, red old style civic with tints, bit window sticker and huge can exhaust, on the block next to mine theres an accord with stickers (asian writing), shoulder pads, no hubs, loud exhaust, and some other junk, at the corner theres an blue SI and another accord, but they're not riced out

Great Honda story. Let me preface that I think Hondas are neat little cars, not really a good weapon for drag racing but fun as hel to drive, it's some of the owners that I find irritating. This happened when I was driving my first R32 and my freind had just bought his a couple of weeks before.

We were out at the spot BSing and waiting for the cops to leave so we could get back to business. I struck up a conversation with a guy in a CRX and he proceded to explain how fast his car was and how he kills Skylines all the time yada yada. Now in his defense he had a pretty nice car and I beleived it to be pretty quick, not as fast as he was claiming but definately not a mark. Well my freind and I just smiled as he rattled on nodding in agreement as he talked trash about Skylines to two Skyline owners whose cars were parked 100 feet away. It was late so we bid him adoo and he left ahead of us.We were heading down the road at like 2am and we come up to a light and guess who is sitting in the middle lane waiting for the green! I pull up on the right my freind to the left sandwiching his between twin black Skyline GTS-Ts. He looked at me first and his face just collapsed. He turned left and saw my freind before turning back to me sheepishly. "hi guys" he said weakly. I just smiled and said "oh you know what comes next"the light went green and we dumped them, my freind floored his(auto). The liitle Honda was right next to me, (second) even with my door(third) even with my back bumper. He started to fall back through third and started to get passed by my freind. I grabbed fourth but the light ahead went red and all three of us came sliding into the light, asbestos fumes were rank.He said "dam that sum***** is fast, I think you burned up your cat though". I smiled and replied "yeah you were back there to small it were'nt you". I gave him respect for putting up the best fight I ever got from a Honda but reminded him not all Americans drove riced out Skylines.

Local bright red Eclipse GST owner with 18" chrome flame shaped spoke rims got huge white "GTS" graphics on the side of his car, each letter about 12" tall. From one side you can actually read the "GTS" decals and "GST" emblem at the same time! I guess the financing APR was lower on the Eclipse than on the Mustang or Celica...

An old beater 300zx with yellow wipers, mirrors, spoiler, and about six giant yellow NEUSPEED stickers on it. Exact same mods can be found on the following: Burgundy Geo Metro, Spray painted baby blue mlate 80's S10, and about 150 other cars here in Santa Fe.

Well when you have the same species of knucklehead that you guys are talking about living in Japan where he(or she) can pick up a rattletrap Skyline NA for $1500.00 you can imagine how bad it can get.I can't count the >150hp cars I see on a daily basis with three foot wings on the back so the screaming ponies don't rocket it off the surface of the earth!
