Last saturday me and my friends went to the track in sac and while we were all chilling there waiting for the races to start two guys pulled up in an S2000 and an NSX. Both were looking sick so me and my friend went over there to talk to them. Both guys were supercharged and so we started talking to them about what they expected to run. The guy in the NSX said 12s and the guy in the S2000 said low 13s because both of them now had "slicks". So me and my friend look at the slicks and notice that they were nothing but bald *** street tires... Too make a long story short the S2000 never broke out of 14s and the NSX ran mid 13s. The dude in the S2000 got spanked by two of my friends, turbo gs-r and a gs-r powered spraying hatch. I couldnt help but laugh my *** off. I guess it wasnt that embarassing that he lost to the hatch though... it ran a 12.9 later that night.

heh, man, some funny stuff here.Well, I learned something about ricers, they don't always drive crappy cars, as the previous post showed, even higher end drivers are ricers. Here's evidence that my school has a bunch of ricers:1) A yellow s2000 driven by a girl (not saying girls are bad drivers) is supposedly the fastest car on campus because it supposedly had spoon internals. This is in a school with Supras, S4s, M3s, a number of Z TTs, RX7s, built old school V8s, but I guess in their corner of the world, the S2000 is the fastest car.2) when you see an integra, and turn around and see the exact same car (same "bling blingy" crap), you know something's up.

Oh, here's a good story about ricers, me and my friend were in his Stealth going to Sac Raceway a while back. Anyone who's been there knows about the long stretch of road when you turn off of the main road to go to the Raceway, and people love to open up their engines there. So yeah, an integ and civic decide to hit it and make a noise rivaling a lawnmower gathering. Well, we decide to have some fun so my friend hits it, pulls to the lane next to them, and while they were racing each other, passed both of them. Reckless, sure, dumb, maybe, but man was it fun.

Oh, ricer quote:"Duuude, I chirped second!"

Ricer mentality:Honda motors are very reliable, so instead of making power the honest way, I could slap on a 100 shot and spray it regularly.

Ooohhh, try this one day, walk up to a ricer who owns a Honda and ask them this:"How does your VTEC work?"Seriously, try it one day, see what happens, it's friggin funny, but I guess Import Tuner might've discussed it...

To bad they didnt have slicks or your friends probably would have been seeing tails. I see stock s2000s hitting 13.8- 14.0 all day long on street tires. With slicks they could get up into there power band more cause we all know they have nothing down low. With a hundred more horse power that things probably was low 13s but maybe even lower. ANd a NSX would just be crazy with a super charger.

My all time favorite is "yo i cant wait to get my exhaust itll add X amount of HP(X differs dependin on ricer)" Which I find very ironic considering they will have no back pressure on there 3" exhaust an 5" tip, so in a since there goin slower than befor jus making more noise while there doin it. But the new phrase I keep hearing is im jus gonna get a chip an my **** will be straight. Then you just ask them a chip for what then they hafta go rethink their whole plan. hahaha

They probably don't even know where the ecu is, therefore they couldn't install the 'chip'

I can't imagine what the new waves of ricers are gonna be like...you know with the SRT-4 out and everything. I have yet to test drive one of those, I'd much rather take out the NSX thats sitting in the used car lot around where I live.

Well, this isn't really too bad, but someone i know tried to tell me that the RB26DETT was the same engine they put in the TT 300z's..and i was like, "you mean a VG30DETT"...then he said, "no I think i would know dude"...I just walked away.

The thing that scares me is the whole drift craze thats happening, so the civic boys are gonna start buyin 240s thinkin they will be drifters this scares me alot due the eliteness an respectability the 240s has achieved might be tarnished by the Ricers. Also I wish the magazines would go back to promoting drag racing instead of drifting due to the "ricers" thinkin their FWD car is a drift machine. I wouldnt be suprised if we start seeing plenty of bent over road an stop signs, not to mention any other cars or ppl in the their path of destruction. So I wish they would really stop promoting the drifting scene because if you have a 240 you know what drifting is you dont need to read about it in SuperStreet. Sorry I jus had to vent.

Yeah I have that same feeling. Though I was a little rice the other night and got sideways on a interstate exit (there was nobody around...it was 1 in the morning). It was a wonderful feeling, but something that should be saved for a course/track.

I for one am happy to see all the ricers with their drifting. Not because I want to see them on the streets doing it but if it helps get more events opened up then let them do their thing. Just hope they decide to drift FWD. :batman

Some f*** my school were trying to drift w/a brand new Mustang POS convertable, an aqua green and yellow riced out Probe, and a near stock Civic tried their luck drifting at different times and different places. The end result: Mustang lost control and spun into a ditch as he was trying to show off(, the Probe tapped a telephone pole w/his rear bumper, and the Civic was the only one to make it unharmed(probably b/c he couldnt get it side ways)

When will these idiot domestic and ricer drivers learn. That **** ain't cool, but it's pretty dam funny though. Don't you agree?

I don't agree. Especially coming from someone that goes by the ricer handle of jdmfreak03.

I dont have a problem with ppl driftin on the street or in parking lots as long as they do it responsibly. For most of us we dont have a track or course we can learn on so we resort to open parking lots. As long as they try to drift responsibly i have no problem with it.

so me and two of my freinds were doing something with my car last nite, adn these two kids, probobly freshmen, came up to my garage, here is some of the dumb things they said:

them: hey, u got headers? u should get headers, how much are they?me: about 300-400,them: wtf? they only cost like 150 for civics

my friend: im probobly getting a TAthem: why a TA, i'd want a prelude, they're so much better...

them: are u gonna drop the car?me: um, its already dropped, duh (visual impairment maybe?)

they said somethings about wanting a crx and making it fast and stuff, etc, a host of dumb things....

they're saying "i'd rather have a silvia then a 240sx..... talking a bit of smack, sad part is neither of em have a license, a car, or probobly not even a permit

Everyone has heard their fair share of ricer talk. My best experience was with the owner of a mid 80's Civic sedan owner. It was the boxy sedan with square headlights and all that fun stuff. The mods list was extensive though. He had an APC style muffler hanging on the rear of the car by wire, clamped to the stock exhaust pipe with an exhaust clamp. If the wire was not there, the muffler would have fallen off the car. Plenty of white vinyl on the car (which was light metallic blue), and white painted interior pieces. The best part was his short ram intake pipe which was made for the '99-'00 Civic Si. It didn't quite fit under the hood of his car (which was made about 13 years before the car it was meant for), so he took a hammer to it. He beat the crap out of a new intake to fit the intake mani. I didn't know what to say when he showed me, so I just said "cool".

Anyway, he was looking at my Talon and immediately asked why I had a boost gauge. I looked to his friends for help, who all shook their heads and smiled in embarrassment. I then told the kid that it was so I could monitor the amount of boost being fed to the engine. The kid then said "no way man, you can only use boost gauges with superchargers". When asked why, he said turbos were electric and didn't need boost gauges.

The amount of misinformation out there these days really scares me.

How da hell iz dat a ricer handle. I want nothing to do w/anything involving ricer **** b/c they're f***in idiots with no style. I admit that I was into clear corners, altezza tails, Civics and all that other crap. But as time went by my knowlege bout cars increased and my interest in dat stuff left and was replaced with a passion for jdm parts and conversions. I dont go for cheap kits and parts. I go for **** like C West and Bomex. Iwant only top quality parts from Japanese manufacturers that I know are good. I currently have a 1995 maxima and most likely would have an S14(hopefully a 97 or 98) by next spring-early summer. I'll be getting an S14 sr20 and keeping the sleeper look until I can afford to do the show car/track/street thing. I know wat the f*** i'm talkin bout. I aint no ricer. The NICO members changed that part about me when I read their posts day and night soaking up the info. Eventually I registered and here I am now. Maybe back then u could've called me a ricer and you would've been right, but now your dead wrong. So Holisticbeatz pull dat d*** out your *** and shut the f*** up.
