It's true that there are several writeups for installing springs and oem style struts, but with Konis, it's a whole different approach that involves hacking up the front and rear oem struts. This is mainly a DIY on oem strut fabrication in order to fit inserts, and not just another ordinary spring/ strut combo install, lol. I've seen several posts now and then with Nico members trying to decide on whether to buy Konis, or coilovers, simply due to the fact that they do not know what is involved for installing Konis, and do not want to bother doing something that they may feel to be too much of a challenge. I just hope that my write up can turn more Nico members to make the propper choice based on their preferance, and not based on the fear of messing up their current struts. More people might like the idea of a great performing strut if they see that it really isn't all that hard to install. This writeup was geared to end the notorious intimidation that the Koni struts may give off. Several mechanics have quoted Nico members over 500 dollars to do this install, when all it took me was several hours of daylight and a[n] [un]willign brother to help out, lol.
