My first post and new to owning a Rogue…
I bought it for my wife and noticed no Bluetooth audio streaming. Can't believe this was left out in the technology. Good thing I have an extra Tunelink auto which took care of this problem. Also, as I read a few post on this thread, I agree the lack of additional small interior storages or center console tray should have been added. Other than these minor gripes, the wife loves the car.

I've had my Rogue S special edition for about three weeks now. The main issue I have with it is the lack of acceleration from dead stop. I feel like the little engine that could...' I think I can..I think I can'. Other minor issues are no where to put things you like handy, like key card for office, hand sanitizer etc. I have to use one of the cup holders or open up the console...oh...and shouldnt the doors unlock automatically when key is turned off or taken out of ignition? Kinda annoying to turn car off, take key out and door won't open until you flip the little button..

thats a safety feature that i enjoy. the last thing i want is my doors to pop open once i turn the car off and render myself vulnerable. i like being secured until I decide its safe to unlock the doors.

You can disable the auto lock door feature with your key remote. Just look in the manual it tells you how.

the thick, low hanging rear view mirror is getting on my nerves lately.

due to the sloping rear of the car - the mirror had to go so low. couldnt they simply make the mirror shell skinnier and put the garage door opener buttons on the visors(where my maxima had them), to reduce half an inch off the bottom of the mirror? idiots.

I just bought a used 2008 Rogue SLawd and I love almost everything about it.

What I don't love is that the doors don't auto lock when I drive and don't unlock when I park.

What I don't love is that the headlights don't come one automatically.

Does anyone know if this is just something in the 2008 model or do I need to program something???

I have a 2008 Rogue S, and when I turned the key to the ON position the doors lock automatically (Not like the newer Rogues that auto lock the doors after you have reached 10-15 MPH), and when I turn them to the OFF position they auto unlock.

Now about the DRL (Daytime Running Lights), I believe those are not available for the USA models of the Rogues (I might be wrong), but I know Canadian Rogues comes standard with this option.

Am I the only owner bugged by the dashboard side vents showing up in the side view mirrors under certain lighting conditions? They block your side mirror vision and can trick you into thinking something is there that is not. The problem disappears with black electrical tape, but... Anyone have a fix? I asked the dealer to remove them so that I could spray paint them other than silver. No cooperation there. Help!

Two things. The idiot placement of the cabin air filter. If you were going to put it there at least make the filter slightly smaller on each side so it's easier to remove, and you don't have to squish it to put a new one in. Second offer a setting to display your speed as digital in the information display screen. It would be easy to program this feature in, but apparently Nissan, and a lot of other manufactures, think the decades old technology (think 1950) of only displaying speed in a round speedometer with a needle is high tech in 2015...

The random issues with the audio system (e.g. telling me the vehicle is not registered for the current smartphone user, when in fact, it is.) I'm aware of a firmware update for the radio/nav system, but know that firmware updates can also bring new, unintended "features" (aka bugs) that can make things worse.

For now, I can work around the audio system's idiosyncrasies.

Lack of good lighting in the cargo area is another dislike. The slight squeak from the sunroof can be annoying but now it seems I'm used to it.

Other than that, there's a whole lot that I enjoy about my Rogue :)

Auto locks have random glitch, and have locked me out when the car is running. It is hard to replicate, but happens.
The vents whistle when closed more than 60 %
The CVT feels like it is lugging at low RPMs.
Can't manually change the air from "vent" to r"e-circulate."
The AC light comes on when I move out of defrost mode to bi-level heat, which is weird.
Bluetooth does not read text from newer model phones.
No "mute" button for microphone when speaking on phone.

There is a lot I like, but you asked. :)

Can be difficult to find parts or everything is special order. Not very good view to the blind spots.

transmission is horrid.
large rear view mirror blocks my view
the seat is made to be to tall. i cant even drink a bottle of water without needed to tilt the bottle to the side
creaking seat. the chair rail is crap
cheezy, cheap interior.
no auto/delay headlight feature
small rear window makes it hard to see out
sloping rear roof line makes the rear view mirror even harder to use
crappy door handles, snap off in the cold
hard-close doors. loud, never stay put, etc.
horrid brake calipers. all 4
the spare tire is under a ton of crap. you need to unload your whole trunk to get to the spare. unreasonable! (imagine changing a tire in the rain!?)
that strange wobble at like 20mph while acceleration
the whine the transmission makes in the spring/summer
....ill add more later lol

The thing I really miss about the 1st gen is the tall seating position. I cant find an optimal seating position in the 2nd gen... Its like its made for you to not see over the dashboard (exaggerating).

Im tall and im either too close to the wheel for my legs to feel comfortably extended, or too far from the wheel and my arm is extended too far. The higher I position the seat, the closer it brings me.

I don't drive the Rogue much as it was purchased for my wife so only a few issues.

First, when you raise the power seat it moves forward instead of rearwards, which to me doesn't make sense, as my intention is (with so much available headroom) to raise it and give my long legs a little more support under my thighs, however in doing so it scrunches the legroom. Better that it moved rearward and a shorter person has the option to move the seat forward on the slides to fit their legs. I realize that Nissan probably figures anybody raising the seat is short and they don't want the seat taking up knee room for a rear passenger but I still think for the majority it would work better the other way (I will add that my 2010 Sonata does the same thing, so I suspect this is pretty universal).

Second, we've got the steering wheel NVH issue at 1250 rpm (typical rpm for around town speeds). Admitedly, we are using the ECO mode and I think that the normal or sport mode would do away with it as the rpms would be higher at any given road speed. But I think that Nissan should have taken this into account.

Lastly, small fuel tank. Even with the good fuel economy, we typically only get about 500 km out of tank. The aforementioned Sonata typically is around 700 km.

Otherwise at about 10 months/13K kms (and averaging 9.8 litres/100 km, or 24 mpg for my American friends, with probably a 70 city/30 highway split), we're pretty happy with the Rogue.

No, you are not the only owner who is bugged by this. It's a real problem in my opinion.
