Nice work man!! Any chance you could do a write up on how to do the fog light mod?
Hey- I used VooDooJC's post over at fresh alloy called "fog light hack complete!"
here is the link http://www.freshalloy.com/showthread.ph ... light+hack
(not sure if that is allowed)
It was not all that complicated. Taking out the signal stalk was a snap and instead of soldering the wires off I cut them with a little left and capped them off so that, if ever necessary, I could return it to stock. After that it is just some wire running and soldering to a relay. I found a wire coming off the fuse panel that was reading 12V with the car on and 0 when it was off. I went with that so I would have control over the fogs without any other lights on but would still not have to remember to shut them down every time I parked.
This was my first time wiring up a new relay and the directions he gave pretty much explained everything. I got a relay that was already clipped into empty wires to make it all a little neat/easier. Putting in aftermarket fogs made this process easier as well although it would definitely be possible with stock fogs if you don't mind cutting up some more wires.
Good Luck!!

Good Morning all, Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I'm in the New York area for the weekend. Anyone know a good place to tint my windows? Name ? a round about price?

It's fairly safe to say it's slammed at this point. I didn't measure it, I only counted thread rotations and will continue to tweak it until I'm satisfied.

So far, I'm happy with the driving feel. I hope to have some pics tomorrow.

Well today she received a wash, changed a couple of interior bulbs to LED, reverse lights and license plate lights to LED. Took ownership or some wheels, since someone owed me money I took the wheels as a partial payment. 20x8.5 254/35/20 front and 20x10 255/30/20 rear, I will be changing the rears soon. the front sit flush with the fender, but the rears, I might have to get milled down to 42, since they stick out some.
After the wash, I did some wet sanding on some body scratches, polished, and then did step one of black polish, a re wax cleaner, left it clean, removed the swirl marks. Once step two is done, I will take close up pics of the paint. Tomorrow I will do step two. On to the pics.

Looks good, yeah keeping black car clean is A pain...Wheels look good if/when you drop it will look even better, btw. Please do not make the same mistake I did
by milling the wheels a few mm to increase offset. I took advices from members with minimal experience ( wheel fitment) and it cost me buck fifty to mill down 2 mm for nothing. It usually is something like this " I have this and this setup it works for me and there is nothing beyond it ." Those 2,3,4,5 mm dont mean nothing on higher offset wheels. Especially with your tire size. Save the money ,use it for something better :)

Thanks for the heads up, I definitely will keep that in mind. Money is tight for me now, and I have only a couple of more months in this cold VA weather, then off to sunny Fl for good. So have to save the money for moving.
I plan on lowering it soon, hopefully I can play with the camber a bit without having to get the camber arms and bolts.

Changed the rear brake pads and rotors.
Cleaned and then painted the rotor hats and calipers black.
Cleaned off the hubs.
Cleaned the other side of the rear tires - man, were they filthy!

I don't know the brand, the specs are 20x8.5 35 offset and 20x10 40 offset. That is what I was told.
Yeah I used to live in Jersey, Perth Amboy. I'll be there on Friday for a short time, picking up my wife and mother and heading back down to VA.

Well I finished step two today, and I am more than happy with the outcome, cars looks 1000% better. No swirl marks, and completely clear. Granted the paint has a lot of chips, and some scratches but this black system wax helped it out a lot. On to the pics.

Those are same exact specs I have currently on except my rear tire is 285/35 and its not agressive enough for me, I am actually about to attempt selling them as soon as possible. Btw. I live right across the bridge (S. Amboy) :)

Over the last couple of weeks I have had the following maintenance items done:

1. Throttle sensor recall.
2. Transmission flush and differential fluid changed (car is at 94,000 miles).
3. New NGK spark plugs.
4. Replaced original sport struts & shocks with Monroe replacements.
5. 4 wheel alignment.

Very happy with the way the car is now driving and riding.

Calidoso I used Turtle Wax black cleaner and wax system. It comes with a pre-wax cleaner, and a liquid wax. Granted, not something that is the great, but it did do wonders, and no swirl marks, and beats me using a clay bar.

I asked the same thing and was informed that after the dealer replaces the accelerator pedal sensor, they reprogram the ECU...after speaking with Uprev, they indicated that the reprogramming will wipe away - overwrite my custom tune/license.

I was fortunate to have both locations (dealer and tuner) in close proximity of each other - did everything in one day.

When I went back to my tuner, they noticed that the dealer's reprogramming created a new ECU ROM file that Uprev would have had to crack the code (if they were to overwrite my custom tune)...that would have taken at least a week to do...I didn't want to drive my car that long untuned...I got too many mods...

So my tuner simply reflashed the ECU with my custom tune...

I drove my car today with a few hard pulls and some normal driving....the response is a lot better :dblthumb:

Yeah wish I read this last week, went in for recall now my Tune is gone, cannot change maps in UPREV...
Going to tuner tomorrow :wtf2:
