Replaced my hood struts with Strongarm E4513 110lb struts from Advance Auto Parts. Ordered them at the store Saturday and they got them in this Sunday. Pretty easy install, thanks to the YouTube video and instructions posted on this forum. Happy to have saved a bunch of cash! The original struts were so weak the hood would not stay open; now, a slight lift and the hood goes right up and stays up firmly.

Got my Megan axle back on Saturday and got it installed same day. Purchased from 06M4.5.

Here is a video of a cold start. Ignore the blue smoke.

Finally got around to doing the fog light mod using the factory switch on the signal stock and installing 6000K HIDs. Match stock low beams well and being in control of my fog lights is great

Also finished up refinishing the winter rims that were all oxidized and sprayed some clear coat. Mounted those and blizzaks- bring on the snow

I added all this in the last week and did all the work my self. I get 26 miles on the highway now. DC header BERKS high flow cats ( STILL NEED TO BE SHIPPED) True dual out to flowmaster 40's and 5/16 Motordyne Iso thermal plenum with Enjen SP series intake. I also changed the water pump, valve cover gasket, plugs and thermostat. Oh almost forgot I installed new KIYB's all around and new Eibach PRokit and painted my NEw rotors black

I was surpised today as my 6pcs window visors came in.

I was told that the package was coming in sometime next week, as most are out of stock.

I wish it was warmer :frown:

Just so you know for next time. There is no need to tape off or make a border beween tires and rims. The Plasti Dip will make it's own 'break' where the tire meets the rim and any dip that gets on the ire will rub off with a microfiber towel and NO effort at all.
Also, if you make a 1-inch border around the emblems, the dip will make it's own 'break around them as well - just peel off the dip from the car surface.

Dropped off my car at South Bay Infiniti this afternoon to get the recall issue (accelerator pedal sensor) fixed....I was there on Saturday to get an oil change and to check out the Q50, and the service rep indicated I can bring in the car any time for the recall fix...

prior to dropping off the car, I stopped off at Church's Auto Tuning to flash the ECU from Uprev to stock. After I get my car back from the dealer, I'll go back to Church's and have the car reflashed to put back the Uprev tune..... :bigthumb:

Although I haven't experienced any of the symptoms described in the recall notice, I'd like to get this taken cared of sooner than later.

The service rep indicated that if M owners get the warning light indicator of "MIL", then that is your sign to get your car in to get the recall issue handled.

BTW, I got the G25 sedan to drive for a loaner.....not bad for cruising in town, but on the fwy, I miss my M

Why would we need to worry about the tune going away for an accelerator pedal replacement?

I asked the same thing and was informed that after the dealer replaces the accelerator pedal sensor, they reprogram the ECU...after speaking with Uprev, they indicated that the reprogramming will wipe away - overwrite my custom tune/license.

I was fortunate to have both locations (dealer and tuner) in close proximity of each other - did everything in one day.

When I went back to my tuner, they noticed that the dealer's reprogramming created a new ECU ROM file that Uprev would have had to crack the code (if they were to overwrite my custom tune)...that would have taken at least a week to do...I didn't want to drive my car that long untuned...I got too many mods...

So my tuner simply reflashed the ECU with my custom tune...

I drove my car today with a few hard pulls and some normal driving....the response is a lot better :dblthumb:
