Epic failure, by far the most distasteful disgusting modification ever done to the Z, you and your ideas should be packed in the trunk and driven off a cliff.

I am not trying to piss on your parade Vig, but body work takes a lot more talent than you possess. It takes a lot of knowledge and skill to create body lines and make good looking curves. I have done body work for many years and can tell you it is not easy and you probably do not have the skill or tools required.

ok, i dont get why make a 300zx look like an aston, it takes away from the astethics in my opinion. but if you want to make a kit, why not look at nissan cars? i found this picture of the japan gtr mspec and it kinda looks like what your going for so check it out:

That future GTR render is beautiful but I really like the Aston grill design.

Its definitely hard, some sections Ive decided to totally rip out and design again.

I went about making a CNC machine

And I again, resigned the car.

So what you see will actually be a perfect recreation after I mill it out in foam and make a mold out of it.

Yes, I had to reduce it for the time being so that I could manipulate it easily in my crappy computer. With my new machine setup, I can basically take any car design and replicate it, this means I can make replicas or custom wide body designs for the Zed also.

If I didnt have a background in computers I think it would have taken me years just to get the CNC and 3d modeling done. All the hand modeling I did on the car for the last 2 years was a waste of time, but I guess I learned things along the way and my design kept evolving.

You went from making the kit to making a CNC machine?

To achieve perfect curves, its the only way. Especially on how I plan on making an Aston One-77 replica in the future too using another car as a donor.
Here is one example of a CNC machine at work... to achieve my goals I have to make small foam sections with my machine and after fit them as one large piece.

Here is a rough picture of the latest design, I forgot to re-size the fender on this side. So with this 3D model I made, I can basically print it out in 3D and make a kit out of it.

No, no and no. That is not how you make prototype body parts.
This is turning into an enormous fail.

If you would have asked how, you would have it done by now.

See how perfect that little face turned out? Now imagine large parts, I doubt anything can go wrong.

my above post was edited with more pictures of the old designs.

So what... you are going to glue a hundred little foam blocks together? Lol, come on man.....
I know you have more sense than this.

Actually my machine should be able to cut pretty large pieces, the size of a grill at least and 8 inches deep I think. I only wish I made this machine from the beginning.

Ok, I will wait another 4 months before I say "told you so", like I did when you were using paper mache, then fiberglass.
You do not have the skills to do this properly. No offense, just the facts. Not just any joe blow can make perfect prototype parts. Its like you really dont want to ever finish this thing.

If it doesnt work then I will use my machine to become a sign maker or manufacture some kind of sex toy so that I will make enough money to pay a professional to finally finish the kit :)
