Stay stock unless you HAVE to bore (meaning your cylinder walls are scored). Your money is better spent elsewhere with turbo.

I've got a slew of problems with my s13. I haven't had the time to work on it and a lot of problems have surfaced. Rather than post them here, is there any specific thread I should post onto in order to get some answers to what might be wrong with my car and how to fix them?

The general problems are as follows:
-leaking power steering fluid
-possible head gasket deterioration
-rapid over heating
-fluctuating rpms at idle
-stalling engine when coming to a stop

Please help! Thanks all!

Not sure if this is simple or not. Or if anyone would know, but here's a shot. I'm getting an s13 hatch soon. It will be my daily. However, I have a son who sits rear facing in a child seat. Anyone know of a good car seat that fits nicely in the back seat? The Graco snugride fits but not that well and it's iffy if you would be able to have a passenger in the front if the car seat is behind the passenger.

^ I would advise not to drive around your infant child in a 240sx.

An S13 is not a safe car at all, period.

I was wondering if a 1989 240sx Passenger/Driver front side fender fit a 1993 240sx?

The fender itself will, but at the very front lower section, there is a piece to meet up with the different style front bumpers... so you'll have to try and change that out.

I brought a 93 s13 and the front bump was damage and the passenger fender is super rusted. I brought a 93 s13 oem front bumper, will the 89 s13 fender fit or do i have to change it? thanks.

You just need to add some holes for the extensions

2 questions.
1. I bought 06 350z rims, they're 19''s and staggered, (http://www.wheelsandcaps.com/images_all/ALY62455U.jpg) for my s14. Will they fit without having to get low-profile tires?

2. also, when im driving it sometimes smells like gas and mostly in my 2nd gear pull, i feel a huge drop in power. if I have come to the right conclusion, that is leaky injectors? or can it be other things as well.
sr20det, supra fuel pump, stock injectors, stock boost

1: define low profile tires. Plug your numbers into this tire size calculator to find out what you will need, or how off you will be if you go with a different tire. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

2. Could be a lot of things. I'd check all the joints under your engine bay to see if any are leaking fuel.

k i got a weird s14 question here...

the slider on the ac vents in the door panels (you know which makes it change air flow direction lol) was all greasy and sticky to move, I'm wondering if it's supposed to have a little grease on there so it's not like super lose. It's easy to take out to clean, just wondering if it's supposed to be there or not? lol

yeah I'd clean it up and put just a little bit of lubricant on there... you don't want it dripping off haha.

Disk thickness, flywheel thickness / shimming, and pressure plate thickness.

hmm k another question that I've been searching for all night, can I fill my ATF through the dipstick channel/port? I know generally speaking guides say to do that, and all I've read for 240s is people filling it through the drain hole. Just wondering if you could fill it there on a 240?

When I turn on the low beam, my left low beam and left parking headlight doesn't turn on. The right side works ok. When I turn on the high beam, all headlights work except for the left parking light. I don't know if the left parking lamp is working or not. Could it be that the parking light has to work in order for the low beam light to work? Or could it be something else like fuse or wires?

I have a '96 Zenki S14 that has finally gone from my daily driver to a project car. Upgrades will happen slowly, for budgetary reasons. That said, I will be focusing on fixing problems before being too concerned with upgrades. One of those current problems is that my steering rack rubs my header (cheap Pacesetter header) when I make fairly aggressive right hand turns. I'm looking at replacing my motor mounts, as they look like they need it quite badly.

I have a few questions about that.

1.) I'll probably be going with JGS, and I'm trying to decide whether I'll be better suited with rubber or with their "heavy duty" mounts. Again, this isn't a daily driver, and I doubt I'll ever take it to any tracks. My eventual HP goal is from 250-300 at the wheels.

2.) Do you think it's possible that this will help with the steering rubbing at all? I know part of the problem may just be the low quality header not fitting quite right, but I'm hoping this could help.

Thanks for any help to a novice. I've lurked these forums for a long time, but I'm finally getting to a point where I can start work on my car, so it seemed like a good time to post.

poly moto mounts should be fine, it will be a little more rougher. To tighten up steering you want to replace the rack bushings.

I do not want to start the whole is the sr better than the ka argument, so ill do my best to word this correctly. Purely for weight statistics, if i was going for 300whp that's my goal, achievable through both fairly easy is my power to weight ratio going to be better with an sr.

Yeah, IIRC, the SR is slightly lighter than the KA, although it all depends on how you have the 2 motors set up as to which one makes more power, and therefore more power per weight.
