Should be at idle and on vaccum around 33-34psi, idle off vaccum around 44-45psi.

Stupid question:

I'm putting an e fan on my ac condenser because it isn't cold at idle. Should I put it on the outside of the car(mounted on the condenser so it faces the motor) or between the radiator and the condenser?
Also, should I have it push or pull air? I still use the clutch fan, and the fan for the ac condenser, (but it isn't working properly now which is why I'm adding this one/re replacing with)
i live in Arizona, and its getting HOT.

You could just rig your factory one up to a switch. You just ground out the relay, and it comes on (unless of course the fan itself is messed up).

Either way, you want the fan to work with the airflow coming into the engine... meaning you want to make it go in towards the engine (and suck in "cold" air from outside).

Hmmm how would you suggest I go about grounding the relay?

So I want to mount the fan facing the motor, and blow air towards the condenser, right? Just trying to clarify these things because I don't want to misinterpret them.

If I wasn't hell bent on drinking right now I'd go take a pic of which relay prong to ground. You should be able to do a search for it though and turn it up. That should turn on the factory AC electric fan.

Puller/pusher doesn't really make sense to me... you want to suck air in from outside (like the front of your car) and direct it towards your motor. Whether you mount the fan further towards the front (in front of the condenser) or rear (towards the engine, behind the radiator) is really irrelevant. Your radiator/condenser doesn't care how its done, it just wants cool airflow.

Papa, If i ground the relay (the one under the hood near the coolant resevior) will the fan always be on if the car is on ACC, or just when the AC button is pushed in?
Thanks for the help,
Allen

just take power wire off fan an wire to a switch in the car an flip it on/off when needed till you find whats wrong with the real set up. I woulnt mess with the other stuff, inless you are tryn to make it work on its own agen.

I have enough switches in my cabin, I'm trying to avoid adding another one :/
Trying to wire it up to the old AC fan wiring, but I want it to be on whenever the car is on.

Shotty electrical work. Follow the FSM schematics as for grounding a relay no, you need to give one side of the coil power for it to close and allow power to flow to the fan. Always run a fan off a relay, and never use larger fused then whats called for.

Just ground the relay to anything then... it doesn't get power unless the car is on. If you ground it to chassis, it comes on in ACC mode and stays on while running. I ran mine like that for about a year.

I am doing a Ka24e to Ka24de swap, I am only swapping the engines and not the transmissions, the transmission in my Ka24e has a Stage 2 lightweight clutch and flywheel, Will I have to get a clutch kit for my Ka24de? or will the Ka24e clutch flywheel and pressure plate work with the Ka24de?

whats up everyone, i just purchased a 240 and plan on swaping in a sr20. im not to sure with how to go about doing this cause im not planing on buying engine just yet. first i want to prep the car for the engine so it can handle turns and clutch wear from drifting and what not. so iknow im going to need suspension and clucth for sure but should or can i really buy a clutch to have on my ka24 now for my sr20 later. as far as susp. goes can someone recommened some. also i got this grinding from when i try shifting into second, is that my clutch or transmission. ALL OTHER GEARS HAVE NO PROBLEM. IT tends to happen more so when in high rpm @ 1.5k rpm it just slips in otherwise it grinds. any info helps out thanks

Hi, I have a simple question, the Koyo Radiator and the Stock Radiator, I don't have a stock one, so I can't measure, what is the size difference on these 2 radiators? Would/Should I still be able to use a Clutch Fan in my 1996 S14 (KA24DE)? My mechanic is telling me the Koyo will not fit and I won't be able to use it with my clutch fan or my Injen intake...

"another noob question"

So my Ka24de did not come with belts, and rather than shopping around can I use the belts from my blown Ka24e?

My car is 500km's away and I am awaiting it to be shipped here and so far I only have the engine

also about the power steering lines during the swap I have read that they are different what would I have to do to make them work.
I have a new tach, so what other problems may I run into during the swap?

What are the holes circled on this t25 compressor housing for?
I just finished rebuilding this turbo. One of the threaded holes goes all the way through (open hole) and the other is a closed ended hole. Thx guys

Are there any more holes/bolts around the compressor housing? It has to fasten to your center cartridge/turbine housing somehow...
