Just a heads up guys and gals. If you order anything from thmotersports (dont!) fiscally make them go check and see if its in stock. I ordered some front and rear overfenders, some gauges and a few other small things about 2 weeks ago. It said all the items where in stock on there website but i called to make sure anyways and was reassured that everything i needed was ready to ship.

I got one small box with a water timp gauge in it about a week ago so i called them up to see why nothing else came in, no answer to any calls or emails till last night when i was informed that everything else was back orderd at least a month ( all 4 overfenders are out of stock till july...) and theres no refund once a order is payed for.

Long story short, stay away from that site.

UPDATE!!!!!

Ill let the pictures do most of the talking but i think it needs to be stated that i got some f*** work done for once!

started my night off pulling the motor out.

Image

Image

Image

The motor came out really easy only problem we had was forgetting to take the shifter off.... I would just like to go on record saying Nissans shifter boots are strong! that last picture is actually when it was still in the shift boot inside the car.

Got the motor out and realized one of the motor mounts was broken so i had to hit up frsport and get a new set of nismos on the way ( should be here tomorrow) ended up calling it a night and heading to a party after that. but i got up there today and did a little more work.

Started cleaning the bay up a little.

So i pretty much have to splice these together....Not looking forward to that to much.

The night started a lil somthin like this...

Image

At some point this was inserted into the room.

Image

At this point i know what your thinking. hot damn this man is getting it done! Nope....about this time everything was almost ready to go, the motor was just about done with everything, all the ps lines and wire simi tuck where done, well some how the old motor mount bolt and nut got rounded off pretty bad so that killed a lot of time, about 11 every one in the room was looking about like this.

Image

ended up just calling it a night and dealing with it tomorrow, still a few under dash and switch/cluster stuff to hook up but its a start i guess.

Oh and as i was righting this guess what i did.

Killin it!

Looks nice so far. Keep up the good work and keep us posted. I agree with the not babying cars. I take car of my cars, but I drive the hell out of them. Personally I don't see a reason in having a sports car if your going to drive like you own a Prius all the time.

Got a pretty good bit done tonight, transmission bolted up, drive shaft back on (that was one hell of a b****) header and exhaust on, need to take it back out and retap a new place for the 02 but its on for now, radiator and e-fans are on and ready to be hooked up.... im sure theres more but heres some pics.

started the night off looking like this.

Image

got the rear jacked up to go to town on the drive shaft and transmission.

Image

header going on.

what the inside looks like ( shoot me now! theres a lot to be done in here.)

Image

Thats about all for tonight, just need to get some fuel lines and finish up the wiring and top off all the fluids and she should be ready to fire up i hope.

She runs!! Over the past 4 or 5 days ivreally havent felt like working on the car at all so the game plan for tonight was light up a fatty and get her in running shape ( still not drivable because of the header and a few other odds and ends ) but my goal was the start it up and let it run for a minute or two.

So here we go.

First turn of the key and she spit and sputters to life. Had a few back fires but thats nothing new from a open header and no 02 hooked up.

Like how you use the stock air tube and filter box.. IMO that's the best way to go with a good filter like a k@n.

Sounds good man

I guess ill do a little pre startup update.

Pulled the header back off to relocate the 02 ( was hitting the steering rack. )

Got it off and moved a little higher up. Was low on rod so the welds look like crap but it got the job done for the most part. I might pull it back off and reweld the old hole a little more to cleen it up.

Like i said, dosnt look to good but it got the job done.
Put the exhaust back on and hooked everything back up.

Thanks man but honestly i wouldnt suggest construction work to anyone. The pay is good sure but you have to put up with so much bull s*** its not even funny oh and 65+ hour weeks is nice for the bank account but not so much for your life.

The garage is defiantly nice 40x80 2 bay shop with just about anything you would ever need. I hate working on other peoples stuff at there house in a built on garage after having all the room in mine. But maybe im just spoiled...

Thats the way i see it. Why go spend $100+ on somthing that wont work any better then what i already have.

And it sounds alright, still need to weld up a spot on the header that didnt get a good weld the first time around but seeing as its a cheep obx header going into a 2 1/2 test pipe and stock exhaust im pretty happy with it.

Figured out a way around having to get a new driveshaft. Knocked the rear cover off the transmission and cut about 1 1/2 inches off the end to give the drive shaft a little more room to move.

Got put back on and everything done down under for now i hope.

And got the fans on and hooked up. The dif fan controller is a pain to program so i need to figure that out tomorrow..

Thats pretty much all i got done last night. Its getting close now!

Ill go ahead and do a small update.

The driveshaft was rubbing on the dust shild on the end of the transmission ( the cover on a s14 is longer then the s13 one) so i said to hell with it and knocked it off.

After that i had to get the dohc cluster stripped down and all the goodies put into the hud cluster

Other then taking it out for a test drive that was pretty much all..

nice progress man.

Guessing you had an S14 trans and S13 driveshaft.

For the dash lights... look down near the fusebox there is a white box(TCU) open it up and there should be a path on the PCB that is burnt to hell. jumper it with a soldering iron with heat control, don't want to burn through the board. There is a write up on here somewhere.

Yup the motor and trans in from a 96 s14 so that was the issue with the driveshaft hitting the dust cover.

Ill take a look at the tcu tonight but i really just think i didn't plug somthing back up when i put the dash back in because the over head lights and everything on the dash isnt lighting up now and it was before i put the dash in.

But the good news is i figured out how to get the sohc to work with the dohc motor ( everyone i talked to said it cant be done) so if anyone would like a diy on that i can make one ( it takes some time but can be done) also got the odd turned back to 0000000 so i can keep track of the milage now! ( wasnt working before)
