Paint and a pig lip is all it needs.

I like sideskirts and rear body kits or clean valences, mixed with oem lip and bumper. The liP is what makes it or breaks it though IMO that's why I have a pignose lip in storage not counting the beat one on my daily

Not to much going on right now with the car. Havent had the time or effort to put into doing anything but drive it. I have pretty much given up any hope of getting the overfenders in a timily manner ( going on 5 mounths with no response to emails and phone calls ) so the game plan is to just say f*** thmotersports and origin and make do without there s*** a** overfenders.

To do list:

1. Fix power stearing ( need to swap lines)
2. Figure out why im getting so much feedback through the gauges.
3. Put j30 vlsd in.
4. Swap out the dash for the clean one.
5. Get front and rear sway bars on and weld up the front cm to make a power brace.
6. Get 5 lug hubs on ( picking everything up friday)
7. Find decent size and offset wheels for 5 lug ( looking at a set of 16x9 -5 ARE throwbacks) :naughty:
8. Get rear valn put on.
9. Fix all the little dents and dings and rust around the sunroof.
10. Paint the s*** out of it.

thats whats on my "i have all this crap but i dont feel like doing it right now" list.

Small update:

sold the skirts and rear val's and the wheels are pending right now so its time to step the game up a little bit.

got some 5 lug goodie's today while i was out. I have new rotors on the way and i plan to take everything apart and clean it up real good before i throw them on.

Image

started the night of playing around with some body work and seeing what the spare wheels i had would look like. these will be my spare wheels but i still plan to see how good they would look with a 20-25mm spacer just for s*** and giggles.

Image

Image

Also got a front lip ( no pics of that yet but ill see what i can do. )

Small update!

Finally had enough of looking at the cracked dash that was about to snap in half so i swamped it out and pulled all the junk out from under it.

Also picked up some wheels and tires for the 5 lug stuff, should be going on some time this week after i get all the little crap that needs to be done out of the way.

Image

That brings us to the "little crap that bugs me"

As most of you know my power steering was on a one way crash course. It leaked all the time and never really worked right. I decided to buy all new lines from the rack all the way to the pump and rez along with a new pump and rez.

Next up is a wire tuck on the bay and just general cleanup around the motor, fix the exhaust and get the interior cleaned up some more along with any other little stuff i have time to get done before the wheels and everything go on.

I can have it out in all of 20 minutes by myself. 3 bolts on top under the vents, 4 or 5 on the bottom and 2 on the steering column to drop it out of the way and just Pull it out of the passenger side.

Not sure how I've missed this thread, car is coming along nicely! Hopefully you get the skirts and the valances back at some point, that aero with a painted front and you're set exterior wise.

Also, let me know if you need anything, I'm right up the road in Raleigh. I rarely post on CN, but I know quite a few people that do.

Thanks man, im really debating getting another set of skirts and valinces.( real oem silva this time) but theres so much other stuff on the list right now. Im talking to the guys over at Zfever right now about possibly getting them to test somthing out for me and if that works out the car will be in hiding for a little bit and paint will be on the back burner.

Do you ever go out to any of the sonic meets or cnea monthly meets?

Its all good i hear it all the time... :gotme

good luck getting the HUD to work with the digi cluster, I actually just sold one that i was working on for at least 2 weeks because the guy really really wanted the hud to work on his window to. I honestly couldn't tell you how to do it. All i know is i had 2 dash harness and a number of cluster harness all cut up in 100000 wires all over my floor. I'll have to get the guy to send me some pics but he seems to be happy with it.

The main problem is getting the power for everything in one place without overloading something else ( those clusters suck down some juice to start with and the HUD dash unit isn't the most eco friendly thing on earth.) the other problem is getting the hud to read on the same flow as the nx cluster. im sure it can be done again but my brain hurts way to much to try again any time soon. i probably should of taken some notes along the way.

theproblem wth the HUD and digital cluster not working usually is caused by a faulted 5uf capacitor in the back of the cluster. they were to small from the factory and would eventually over load and burn up. repairing them requires a fine tip soldering iron and a larger capacitor (10uf is what i used on my 89 coupe)

I usually go to the Sonic meets, haven't in a few weeks though due to my car being down for upgrades. If I see you there I'll be sure to say hey.
