I myself will also be taking a proactive stand on this as well. I'm thinking an MAF sensor costs more to replace than a hood liner You know that they say about an ounce of prevention...

That's why I just cancelled my order. I'm going to go with Fujita. Don't want any issues with the MAF sensor OR the hood liner. If anything ever happens where I need warranty work and I take the intake off and act as if I never had one on... how the hell will I explain what ripped the liner?

wanted to thank kyle from stillen. Installed mine today and everything went well. Will also be proactive and rap that baby in some electrical tape. WOT is amazing

Yeah after reading the last few comments I went out and checked my hood liner for the mark... And looks like my Injen is rubbing as well.

I've had it for a few months now... 2 I think... and it looks really insignificant. Plus I don't care about the hood lining at all...

Looks like the MAS is completely fine, no marks on it or the wires. I will tape the bastard up just in case...

No need to panic people. This is no big deal. At all.

Yeah, that pic I took makes it look worse than it really is. It's really only a scuff, it's not like it's tearing a hole or anything.

ohhh lols i thought it was like a huge hole in the liner lols should i take up the whole maf so theirs no damge to it ? which part should i b taping when i install it ? thanks guys

That would depend on which part sticks out the farthest.

On my setup, the plastic wire-harness that attaches to the MAS is rubbing against the lining. Therefore, that's the part that I taped up, just to be paranoid.

Might be different for you. I'm sure you'll figure it out once it's installed.

I see what you mean. Unfortunately I already have my Injen and am used to it, so I can live with a hole in the liner.

Good thing you can still get the Fujita without having to return anything!

Not a problem with the 3.5. If you are worried just put a little tape on it.

hello!

i just became a member of this site only about a week ago.. i just bought my AC 3.SE cvt about 2 weeks ago!

is this group buy promotion still available?

and i guess from what i have read in the posts... nobody with the A/C 3.5 SE CVT has had rubbing or fitment issues?
