Yeah for real....when I opened my hood of my gf's camry, I was almost killed by the sudden lift that the dampers made. Wasn't expecting that one....

mostly lower end hondas dont have dampers... kinda sad that the coupe doesnt have any... it makes a whole difference if your poping ur hood, it feels more luxurious or "newer" feel

There are many cars that don't have factory hood dampers...

Damn, now that I think about it... my '90 Maxima had hood dampners. On level ground... they held up the hood... but if I had it parked on any incline... it would hold up for about 5 minutes or so and SLAM... right on your head.

Despite the relative mediocrity of a mod like this (IMHO), the fact is, that when I owned my Maxima (and frankly most of my vehicles) I got spoiled by this feature. The self managed hood is a small, but useful feature for me.

I guess that means i'm in for a group buy if it comes around. Sheesh, you people keep finding ways to spend my money ......

*chime*I think that a $49.99 plus the stillen $9.95 shipping would be the fair price to beat. IMHO i think it would be to their advantage to put some vinyl on it.. it would make it look nicer and advertise... but it would probably slow production... You can get custom vinyl cut online for cheap..

Hey Josh Are there any different finishes planned in the future for these (i.e Stainless steel, Carbon Fiber, or painted)?

The brackets are zinc coated to prevent against rust, but no current plans on doing additional colors, etc. These are easily coated if you wanted to do something custom, should be able to find a powder coater.

You could even try hydrographics if you wanted something really crazy, such as carbon fiber or brushed aluminum.. or pink camo.. places like Phoenix Imaging can coat a ton of different types of items, from every interior piece to engine covers.. http://www.phoenix-image.com/

Hey guys,

We definitely plan on doing ALOT MORE to the Altima Coupes. Forced induction has been discussed and we are simply trying to come up with the best system for the Altima's. Both 2.5 and 3.5 are on the R&D list but that's not to say that they will get similar kits. We have already begun building the turbo kit for the 2.5 but we still aren't sure if we want to turbo the 3.5...It might get a supercharger of some sort.

We will update you with more information as soon as we get it.

We have talked with the Nissan engineers and have found that the CVT transmission can handle LOTS of power.

LOL, my parents have been blocking all my mod requests. Especially the exhaust I already saved up for, which I could get a great price on. All I get is 'No way, it will be too loud, and attract too much attention."
