But really...

Any idea when are these dampers going to be available?

What happened to this thread? First we got shown a cool little trick mod that was supposed to be coming out this week (or at least some more information would be available this week) and then we got sidetracked to turbos/superchargers and now it's dead! Josh/Kyle can you guys give us any inside info on where you are at with these?

Not dead.. I promise!!

We should have filled you guys in, I apologize for that. They are assembling these pieces now, and we're finalizing the cost for pricing.

We are just about to ship both our car catalog and truck catalog to the printer, so we've all been in a mad scramble to check everything, and finish all of the info for that. They will look killer, but it's been a strain on the marketing guys.

I'm sorry for the delay, it's top on my priority list Monday to pin everyone down and get these going for you..

Thx Josh,

The update is nice. No rush though, I'm sure the catalog will be well worth the wait, can't wait to see some more Stillen styled Altimas after the catalog and parts release.

Just a thought... can we get dampners for the trunk lid as well? Maybe it can be offered as a package with the hood dampners

you don't need anything to hold up the trunk lid, how would you justify making dampers for those?

Isn't there already dampers on the trunk?

maybe he meant power lift for trunk lid? some trunks when you unlock it automatically lift up like a SUV trunk

ya.. that's what i meant, somthing like what's on the back on minivans, suv liftgates, and hatchbacks. That way when we push the unlock button on the trunk lid, it'll automatically pop up.

Upon further thought, maybe it's not really necessary since the trunk lid stays open anyways.

hmmm, thats an interesting concept. You could get your effect with stronger trunk struts. They will need to be the same length, only pressurized stronger, to about 100 lbs for each strut should do it.

This would work just fine for the sedan as well right? Cause i know the engine bays are the same and everything but what about the bolt locations?

apprantly the hood is the only thing the a/c shares with the sedan. one bracket bolts to the hood brace, the other bolts to the headlight bolt. I would make sure the headlight bolts are in the same place. Then i would order them.

yeah, for $100 i'm definitely not going to jump on them right away. may still get them eventually but the price is a little steep for something i will hardly use. if we got a group buy for a reasonable price ($75 or less with free shipping), i'd buy them today.

Did the STILLEN logo ever make its way onto these dampners? definetly would make it look more appealing, thatd be worth $75-100 in my opinion.

EZ... paying more for them to label it? throw some vinyl on it if you like... mine will say Knight Rider on them... Labeled or unlabeled.. its not worth $100 IMHO
