100 bucks is not worth it, this would definetly be on my bottom to buy listor wait for a different company with a cool logo/color damper to come out LOL

Do you know what a short ram intake does? It sucks in a higher volume of air. Thats it. Not pulling in cold air or anything special. It doesn't matter if the tube is 12 inches long or 5 inches. Hot air is hot air

As far as the hood dampers go. They are an excellent tool if your a tuner. If you are all about throwing an intake on your car and leaving everything else in the engine bay stock, then these really aren't for you

I just had a question with regards to the dampners.. i was told that the dampers have to much pressure, that there is a chance that when it comes to closing the hood there is a chance that the hood might bend?..

I think that even if this *does* happen, which I doubt, I'm pretty sure that it would bend the brackets that it uses to attach to the hood rather than the hood itself.

also considering that the hood itself is very lightweight and the dampners possibly being very strong... well it might be plausible.. idk stillen, any word on this?

Hey guys,

We were shooting for the $50.00 price range but the costing came in a bit higher than expected.

We are going to offer a group buy on these starting on the 16th. I will announce more information at that time. It won't be as low as $50.00 but it'll be close.

Let's let the Eibach group buy wrap up and we will move ahead with the hood damper group buy.

Glad to hear it Kyle! $100 for dampers was a little steep but if you the price can come down a little, that would be great! Are you guys gonna throw in some vinyl "Stillen" stickers to go on the dampers? After all, my coupe is "Tuned by Stillen"

the dampers are only rated at 60 pounds a piece. At the angle alloted they will not damage your hood in the slightest.

Hey adidas, quick question. It doesn't seem like it in the picture, but on the drivers side, the bracket doesn't get in the way of opening up the fuse box right? At first it seemed like they would get in the way of working under the hood, but taking another look at the pictures and putting a stick where they would go (more or less) proved otherwise to me...

I am definitely interested in the group buy. As for even the retail cost, $100 is steep, yes. However, making the car unique and yours is important to me, and I am sure many others. I look forward to finding out the group buy price.

It appears that we will be able to verify whether or not the hood dampers will fit the sedans soon.

I will keep you updated.

Best Regards,Margaret Lo[/quote]I emailed them asking if i could purchase a set, see if it fits, and if it doesnt then could i be fully refunded after i sent back the dampers. And thats what she sent me back.

o sh*t you know what? I do remember a sedan sitting in the garage now. I think it was a customers car tho because it had a non-stillen kit on the front.

Either way, if i knew this kit would work on sedans, i would of purchased it the second i saw it go up. I'll dish out 100 bucks, everything i get for my car i install it myself and that damn hood prop is a piece of crap. When its windy, it shakes like hell and its extremely unnerving especially when your head is in the engine bay.

The 16th is fast approaching Guys. Is the group buy still on? Cause thanks to Blake's post on the Stillen rockers, I'm most likely gonna buy them as well as the hood dampers. Oh and please say that vinyl Stillen decals will be included to dress these bad boys up

I second that! Wow we are impatient....Also, doesn't this one belong in the new "Coupe" forum since it's a coupe only part. It's going to take a long time to get used to this multiple forum setup...
