Sweet little update.

Enjuku just got the shipment of the 17in. square wheels.

17x9 +15 In both bolt pattern 4/5x113.4

A set(4) is gonna run you $500. Not to bad IMO. Which they had made a 17x10 on or a 17x9 +0.

Hmmm.... For comparisons sake...

Yeah, I think I would have absolutely no problem mixing & matching a 17x9+15 Square wheel up front and a Chromium Black 17x10+20 526 rear. Hell, thats what I was gonna do before, except with a 17x9+20 XXR 006's up front. But the Square wheel more closely resembles the 526 than the 006 does, the square has a wider lip than the 006 (but not wider than the 526's) The Square wheel's lip is supposed to be 3.5 inches and the 526's lip is 4.25 inches. And the Square wheel is supposed to only weigh about 19 lbs as per Ken at Enjuku. Thats 4 lbs lighter than the 006.

This wheel is perfect for me. Unfortunately, Enjuku won't sell me just a pair until they get more in supply...

Sidenote - 2011 is like the year of 4 lug love! Rota has 6 Hyper Black 18x9.5+15 P45R's for 4x114.3 in stock right now. I don't think I need to even say how rare that is. If you love P45R's, you WILL regret missing out on this.

To bad they didn't make the 521 in 17x10. Would of been perfect...

To bad you don't live in Fl, wouda split the cost with you.

^^^Thats not a bad idea. If Ken had two ppl who both wanted a pair, it's the same thing as selling a whole set. Just need to ship them to different address... I bet he'd be down. Want me to ask him?

At this price, it's roughly $250 for two wheels before shipping. I think shipping would be about $40. I got that...

On second thought, I'll wait on these wheels. Ken says there will be another shipment. I'mma jump on those 18x9.5 4 lug P45R's instead. We might never see those again.

I don't think there are any pics of these wheels on a 240 yet except for the 16's. The 17's were just released like a week ago or so...

which is easily fixed with the multiple brake upgrades you can do and still retain 4 lug or switch to 5.

Wry humor attempt FAIL.

Honestly, the only reason I'd want to go 5 lug is to run Driftworks expensive a$$ Geomaster II hubs & knuckles. Other than that, Z32 calipers work fine on 4 lug. There's also Wilwood 4 lug brakes too.

I wanted to say something last night but i was a little to drunk to be posting i think...

I never had a problem stopping in my zenki. Hell it stops just about as fast as my Z.... Dont see why people say stock brakes suck, i never had a problem with them.

Side note, a guy around here was selling a set of 526s with new tires for $400 because he didn't like them and said they looked a lot better in pics....i was thinking about getting them just got the hell of it. What do you guys think?

not bad price, just get them and flip for a profit, or drift spares or something.

Yeah, I never had a problem stopping with my stock calipers. Of course, I've got slotted rotors, braided lines and Hawk pads. All very simple stuff. Stops great.

Stock sized brakes stop you pretty well, once. But if you keep leaning on them multiple times in quick succession (such as a track situation) they fade BADLY. This is where larger rotors (more heat dissipation) and higher temp fluid and pads come in.

^^^Oh of course. I meant the stock brakes stop an N/A KA streetcar just fine with simple upgrades. Its a given that bigger calipers/rotors/etc will be needed for track use.

Either way, its off topic.

True. Gotta say, with as cheap and common as 5 lug parts are getting (granted its slightly easier for me since I have an S14) I'm really starting to think about other options besides the 527's, although I really do like the light weight and nice offsets. [/backontopiclol]

They still offer the 527's in 5 lug if you want them. Not quite as light as RPF1's, but you can buy two XXR's for the price of one of those Enkei's.

I just wish SBC RP03's were cheaper.

Lot of talk about 527s and not seeing them fitted properly...

Not my car. Definitely looks like a drift missile, (I don't mind the look but I know some people like their cars polished) anyway, tucking 17s is nothing to scoff at.

Image
They look good in tandem too. Again, neither car is mine.
