I just thought you guys might wanna know... XXR announced their 526's and 527's a few months ago. I thought it was awesome that the 527 was being offered in a nice size like 17x9.75+25 for 4x114.3.

But now... they've announced that the 17x10+20 526 will be offered in 4x114.3 as well!

Oh yeah... and here are the 17x9.75+25 527's if you haven't seen them yet...

Not gonna lie, that made me happy, I've always liked those wheels, but couldn't afford the five lug swap. I'm sure someone else is stoked too. :D

Yeah, I was considering the 5 lug swap just so I could get the 526's in 17x10+20 and 18x10.5+20. But now, there's no need! It sucks that the 18x10.5 isn't getting the 4lug treatment, but hell... tires for 18's are so much more expensive than 17's anyways, so meh...

But I still have to weigh the merit of keeping a 4 lug setup with Z32 brakes. I really don't wanna have to keep getting Z32 rotors redrilled for 4 lug. Does anyone know any relatively affordable 4 lug rotors compatible with Z32 brake swaps?

Edit: Nevermind! It's my lucky day! Drilled & slotted Z32 rotors for 4 lug!

Except that you NEED spacers to make them look good on our chassis.

Also, everyone has them. My mom has a set on her elantra.

Thank you. I'm glad somebody understands... :bigthumb:

962's need big bolt on spacers. These two new wheels can get away with tiny slip-on spacers or none at all if you're crafty... :naughty:

IMO, +20 is that magic offset number to be able to fit wide tires before needing wide front fenders.

Pretty much the only bad part about 962's IMO. These 526's look nice, i want an 18 inch 4 lug though

Yeah, but thats kinda EVERYTHING. Who cares what a wheel looks like if the offset is crap and it doesn't fit right? You're gonna need, like, $100+ in spacers to make them fit right. At that point, your 962's are no longer a bargain and you'd have been better off just buying one of these new wheels, which are even wider than any 962.

Don't need spacers to make them "look good" . I got washers in the front which is more than fine to clear the brakes. People have told me that my s*** looks good with no spacers.

Everybody has them because they look good. Don't bring your mom into this... :poke: :rotflmao  ;)

962's don't need spacers? Dude. You don't want this fight. Trust.

I'm not trying to get this thread locked, so take your flamebait elsewhere.

Do you have these wheels on a s13?? There is no locking thread threat. Just told you that they are not needed to look good on a s13. Those wheels look like crap on anything.

F*** no. I know better than to buy wheels that don't clear coilovers.

There's only two ways that 962's could possibly fit on your 240 up front.
1) You rock the laughing stock 17x7+40's up front
or
2) You don't have coilovers and are still 4x4 status.

Either way is a fail. Anything less than 17x9 up front on an S13 is a waste of space, IMO. Try fitting 17x9+35 962's up front with coilovers and your washers and tell me how that goes.

The only way you could possibly fit 17x9+35's and clear your front coilovers without using spacers or fabbing up some crazy sh*t is if you had Megan coils and their extended coilover bracket. But if you have that knowledge, why not fit something more aggressive?

With the width of the wheel being 9.75" for the 527 would that be a problem if you get that all around? I'm going to assume that you need a pull for these (if you want to keep stock fenders) huh?

Excellent question! The +25 offset shouldn't really cause much problems for your fenders besides needing the typical roll. Maybe a pull depending on how much tire and negative camber you want to run. There is a possibility that you may get some rubbing/contact between the tire and the inner wheel well though. I'd probably use a small slip-on spacer (like 5mm to 7mm) bringing the effective offset down to +18 to negate that.

The bigger issue here is whether the 9.75+25 will hit your coilovers up front. There answer to this is YES, unless you have taken precautions. Most S13 coilovers just barely clear 9.5+12's. But some coilovers have more backspace than others. I've seen 17x10+18 upfront on an S13 with Apexi coils.

There's only two sure ways to make sure wheels this wide won't hit your coilovers:
- Spacers to push the wheel away from the coilover. But this lowers the effective offset, increasing the likelihood of even more fender work and reducing the amount of rubber you can run.

- Run extended coilover brackets to 'create' more backspace between the wheel and the coilover.
Image

To my knowledge, Megan is the only company to market extended brackets. So if you don't have Megan Streets or Tracks, you're screwed and will need to fabricate your own brackets. For this reason and this reason alone, I'm buying Megan coils over brands like Stance, PBM, Fortune Auto, or KTS.

 :gotme Which ones are you talking about? The 526's or the 527's? Well, either way... I have no idea about that. I don't know anything about Accords or most Hondas in general.

I figured you wouldnt but i thought i would ask. Im looking at the 527s, i went scrolling threw the sight and found some 8.25s that might work better for that car. Im not a Honda fan, thats why its HER car LMAO.

The 8.25 527's are probably a safe bet. Why bother trying to go too aggressive when she obviously wouldn't care either way as long as it still drove to the grocery store and then back to the kitchen?

HA you dont know my wife LOL. She already said nay to the 8.25 527s, She wants the 526's 9inch +35 offset. So im gonna have to get some low profile tires. I cant find any website that sells quality suspension stuff for accords, but i did find skunk2 sport shocks and lowering springs on ebay, and an OEM suspension kit, control arms, ball joints, and tie rods. I think she will happy with all that and i managed to keep it under 2g so im happy too.

which would be a better fit all around on a s13?
17x8.25 +25
17.9.75 +25
18x8.75 +20 (5lug)

I'm guessing the 18" would be the best if I went with the 5 lug conversion otherwise the 8.25 inchers?

8.25 unless you want to roll a lot on the front for the 9.75 (not sure about coilover clearance on the front with those either).

Does anyone know about fitment for S14's here? Yeah I'm one of those poor bastards with a 4 lug S14. I'm thinking 17x9 +25 front and 17x10 +20 rear (with properly sized tires, not stretched) Also going to be fairly low on Fortune Auto coils. Simode you're the expert, know anything about S14's?
