I was just having this conversation on Zilvia actually. You're right, those G6 have some hella nasty convex poke going on! The wider 526 sizes have convex spoke poke too, but not nearly as extreme as those G6's...pj wrote:it is a good a** price but i hate the way the spokes/face of the wheel like bubble out, like reverse concave to give the look of havign more lip.simmode1 wrote: $399 for a set of 4 16x9+15? id consider buying a set if they were just flat faced.
G6 convex spoke poke

Versus 526 convex spoke poke...

Comparatively, the 526's poke ain't too bad. I actually like it. In motion, I'd think it would create a more textured/contoured look. Kinda like a dome effect. Some ppl like flat faces, I like a little poke there. Like some ppl prefer flat lips on their deep dish wheel, I prefer a steeped lip. All just a matter of preference really.
But either way, at least these wheels don't have convex spoke poke like the Godspeed Omegas...

I still think these are sexy wheels though...
Yeah, I have no interest in drifting so rubberband tires are useless to me. I just wanna get low enough to tuck slightly stretched, modestly wide tires under stock fenders and corner like my S13 is a HotWheel car in the hand on God...SX APPEAL wrote:Yeah those sizes are a lot more realistic. I have my doubts about it even being possible to mount a 215 on a 10" wide rim, and even if it could be done, how long you could drive on it before the beads broke loose. And I know what you mean about the stock motor thing, mine is just bolt ons and you have to REALLY be trying to break them loose on dry pavement with 245's on the back, talking 4-5K rpm clutch drops and lots of throttle. Sure does stick well in the twisties though
