i have a bit of regret buying a 2.5 rather than the 3.5, but i love mines though. was goin to trade for a 3.5 that was used with 22k and mines having 5k and the dealer wanted 4k which was crazy. so i decided to keep my car. im looking foward to seeing stillen design performance upgrades for both the inline 4 and v6 alike, but i know the best of the upgrades will only come with time if we the consumers demand for the product and promise to buy it!

i was about to say that your better off just trading in for a V6 but i see that you live in FL and dont have to worry about restrictions like California.... if you want you could save money and just get some forged internals for the Sentra SE-R and then get a Turbo for the SE-R and have a shop modify some of the piping.... but thats if you have the stick shift, they say the 2.5s has a different CVT then the 3.5se and that its even worse then the CVT in the 3.5se

sorry i meant FROM the sentra SE-R, not FOR the sentra SE-R lol the 2.5s has the sentras motor but with weaker internals.... so if you get some better internals and get a turbo kit that was made for the SE-r and then modify the piping to fit

hussain i saw a vid of ur coupe with down pipe or in other words not using the mufflers, how did you do this and can this cause damage to ur car? any difference in performance, jus curious?

oh theres definitely a difference in performance.... i ran a 14.4 in the 1/4 mile stock and when i took off my muffler i ran a 13.912 (almost a 13.8 and with practice i think i can hit a 13.8)..... with my 2.5" catback exhaust i ran a 14.2.... and no it doesnt hurt the car. i'm not sure how it will work on a 2.5 because it takes away all the back pressure and low end power..... if you want to test it out, follow your exhaust pipe and you'll see a flange with 2 bolts, just take those off and push the pipe to the side (the bolts are very hard to get off the first time)

what tool do u need to do this and does the car sound louder? how does the 3.5 and 2.5 differentiate by when you mean "it takes away all the back pressure and low end power?"

thanks in advance,Kris

also out of curiousity how would the state of califoria know what modifications are done to your car unless you get pulled over and asked to pop the hood? by this im reffering to your above post^^^

it makes it VERY VERY LOUD! like, hear you down the block loud.... i used an air gun or what ever its called to take off the bolts because they were difficult with a wrench.... supposedly my car shouldnt be running faster or run actually slower because no back pressure means no low end power but my car is CVT so i launch at almost 3000 RPMs and then sit at about 6000 RPMs the whole way down the track so a huge improvement in top end power makes up for the loss of low end power.... 2.5 takes longer to get the RPMs up so im not sure how big of an improvement you'll actually have but its worth a try.....

in California you dont have to smog your car for the first 5 years but once the car is 5 years old then you have to smog it every 3 years or something like that and you wont pass smog.... plus if i had a turbo, i know id get pulled over lol

I'm on a mini-vacation in Myrtle Beach right now, and didn't bring my laptop in order to take a break from "being connected" for a bit, but I do have my cell phone (guess I can't go totally off the grid), and when I saw this post notification come through, I had to find a computer to say "thank you!". This is excellent news! I'm definitely buying this as soon as it's available. Great work guys. I can't wait to have it on my car

Joe I believe the final TQ was of 238 so that is +14 TQ. Or did I type those numbers too quickly on my phone?

Final TQ is 236 not 238 so Joe's calculations are right, little mistyping on the phone I suppose.

Well I am saying when I saw my car on the dyno and looked at the read out I recall seeing 238, not 236......I didn't think the dyno graph has been posted yet.......to show that I had been up way to late the night before and got up way to early.....and got the number off by 2 TQ's..... :\

spockrock, what did the low end torque / hp numbers look like? did you loose any low end torque?
