They will fit 100% if you do a VQ engine swap

These are a 3.5L V6 only application.

I e-mailed them and told them to send me an e-mail as soon as it's available. So, they put my name on a list of people to email as soon as it goes on sale.

Question; I've not seen under my car enough to remember, if this is replacing the catalytic convertor spool? Is it possible to reinstall the catalytic convertor (not for functionality but for appearance) by cutting the piping from the factory cat then gutting it and wrapping it (no cutting to your pipe) back on around your pipe and fascine it with some J.B. Weld or some other high temp product (I know it would be bad to weld it back on due to the heat disforming the pipe at the weld points)? We don't have emissions test here or anything, but I would like to make it look less noticeable (if it's possible and could be done cleanly) so that I don't get hassled be the stealership if the car needs to go to their shop.

if i'm reading your question right, I would think it would be easier to just switch back to your stock pipe instead of doing all that work. It looks like only about 6 bolts hold on the y-pipe. Unless you need to get rid of the stock piping.

I think there is 9 bolts on the Y pipe actually. 3 at each facet of the Y, so 2*3 facing the engine and 3 more facing the exhaust.

My question is, how much lower will this pipe extend toward the ground? I've scraped a couple of times (glorious Massachusetts roads ), and it seems that one of the points that scrapes most is right on the Y where it flattens out. Nissan seems to have known this might happen, because they seem to have some protective shielding at this spot, kind of spot welded to the Y pipe that is there.

Sorry if this was already asked, I didn't see it yet though.

My 3rd gen altima was lowered and I had the racingline y-pipe which did extend a bit further at the bend. I scraped it from time to time getting into uneven parking lots... Mine was atypical though as other i had seen were bent differently where it didnt jut down but rather out for more clearance.

Yeah I think you understood me, and thinks that makes much more sense. We need to have one of these that say "I am Stupid"

geez...I hope there is not a massive demand for this y-pipe. When I emailed racingline they said they were producing about 100 y-pipes for this first initial release.

The guys said it would be plenty, but who knows

WellI guess it depends who knows about it. If NICO is the only website that is aware of the y-pipe it will be plenty. idk, but i'm ordering as soon as I can

30 to 40 should be gone the first week and then after a month the rest should go since the altima sedan guys want it too

13HP 14TQ to the wheels

These "SHOULD" be ready late next week, the flex sections were on B/O but are here now.

I only order so much cause I don't want to do 2 separate runs one for the initial rush then another for "stock". it's cheaper in the long run to just have everything done at once. although really %^&* expensive right now
