well, the s13 is not in production so it's numbers can't increase. I bought the car because of the lines. It's weak to show mercy or kindness towards honda owners.

I'm sad, I think that I started the "silvia" trend in town. After I got my car and dropped the Sr in there, and smoked a bunch of honda boys, people got all hyped up about it and now they're popping up like a cancer.

I would not lose sleep over it, this is my 2nd fastback and being in California with like 800 (FACT) new cars on the street everyday, HONDA still ownz the RICE market.

I see 240's here and there, but usually without the triple deck wing 20 inch rims, kandy paint, and white interior or what they call '"performance mods and sticker upgrades" :D

I've yet to see a 240 on bags or hydro's, until then I will save my tears.

Well I wasted a little laughing at a guy with an accord shifting from 2nd to 3rd then to (D) , head and hand motion and everything...

As a former S13 owner, I say the 240sx is still not an overly popular car. An exceptional car but still not coveted by the general buying public. They're certainly popular among Nissan enthusiasts (very good taste I might add), and it's finding some new (but modest) popularity among drift fans, but out in the real world, I haven't witnessed a huge surge in demand for it. When I put my beloved S-13 up for sale, I was mildly surprised that it took as long as it did to sell after reading so many threads from people claiming they were "desperate" to find a clean 240sx. My car happily ended up in a good home, but I still believe the 240sx is not as popular as everyone thinks. If you have one, enjoy the fact you have a wonderful car that not everyone has, and if you're looking for non-riced one, just take your time and a you'll find a good deal. They're out there.

Well, have you guys seen all the Super Street and Import Tuner magazines? So far for the last couple of months they have had at least one big spread about 240sx's and whatnot. I'm getting scared. I don't know if I should be happy that I will be able to sell my car for sticker price in a year or two, or that the rice infestation will begin in a couple of years too... =\

I say be happy that you have a great car and enjoy driving the hell out of it because, despite the recent autorag hype, your 240 is still going down in value. It's not a collectible. And as time marches on, more 240sx's will become affordable to teenaged boys. That means an increasing number of surviving 240's will likely end up riced. It's up to dedicated NICO members to keep their 240's pristine, running well and un-riced. Good luck with your mission. This thread will explode in 5 seconds.

I bought my 240 because I wanted a light wieght RWD car. I picked the S14 for the looks and the fact that it's much rarer than the S13.:D

I see S14's everyday. Although every 240sx I see is ugly, except for my buddie's. He has a whitw clean 240sx with an S13->s15 conversion with an SR20DET dropped right in.

Where do you live Sircnay? There was only around 5000 S14's sold in the US, Kind of hard to imagine seeing a different S14 everyday.

Still a lot less than the s13:D

Where did you find the numbers at? I found them a while back, but now everytime I search I come up with nothing.

I was sure that number was for all S14's in the US.

I swear, people are idiots. Nissan designed the car for one, simple reason. To sell. It's ABSOLUTELY STUPIDITY to say that their car was designed in 87-88 and produced in 89 with drifting in mind. Absolute stupidity. It's just logic people........

Wait...you didn't know... Auto manufacturers started designing cars for specialty markets only...buwahahahahahahahaah

That's like saying the civic was designed to be a SHOW/RACE car.

No, it's not "funny" at all. Mustangs are great for drifting. Hell, I can drift the fool out of a Camaro. What makes "great for drifting"???? A stock S13 can't survive for ANY time doing that, so you're going to say Nissan designed it that way. Are people really this dumb??? Do you live in the real world of supply and demand, market forces, actual selling points, or in some weird world where companies design cars and build on a mass scale.....to sell to a niche market. Did you ever go to school?? Take a stock S13 or S14 and try to go drifting in it, see how well you do or how long the stock suspension lasts. But of course, Nissan, designed it for that..........I hate people...........

Wow. somebody got their toes stepped on... I never cared about the drift ability of a 240. I like the looks of the s13 though... but i notice it tends to look like alot of other japanese cars out there.

what? i never saw a Civic with pop-up headlights... I don't think Integras ever came with them either. Hmm... the only other cars I can think of is the MR2, but that's a respectable car.
