MiniMan has got dibbs on the engine & transmission..

Here is a link to a car on ebay with a "tan" interior. The difference in colors is hard to distinguish, but it it a little lighter in color. Unless my monitor is off on colors...this one on ebay is definetly "tan" and the one we are interested in buying is "taupe"

Another "tan" interior

yep....taupe it is. That is why when you said you wanted these seats I could not figure out why...because the color is different....although not that different. I really don't need the seats as my weak a$$ still likes the heater...even in Miami. My passenger is fine...the drivers side has got a crease on the bottom seat that I know will eventually crack, but it is probably at least 2 years until it cracks.

MiniMan can get us the VIN # and then Wes can run the VIN# to get the color combo. I don't need the interior door panel trim...just the door frame (sheet metal) as my interior on the doors is perfect....at least something on my car is not totally shot.

I totally forgot about the wheels. Those look like 15"...they would be a nice addition to your Q.

Damn...this thing just might become NICO's scavenger sharks within a few days if we get the details all straightened out.

Where is the car going??? Or is it going to sit somewhere and we part it out..

I could ask, and see as I might be able to part it out...

Ahh Wes...you are a step ahead of MiniMan and me. Seriously, if you can talk to your folks about letting this car be at your house for about 2 months while we part it out...that would be great. I will email you separately to work out the details.

I know someone's got dibs on the hood.....what about the grill?

I need a decent 94-96 grill for a little project / experiment.

Let me know if its available and how much.

Thanks,

Andy

you can have the grill....I just need the hood.

Corey...I got more pics of the car, but it said your email account was full or that the pics exceeded the size of your account.

Since I am away on business, I am stuck using my work PC and the IT Police have the laptop setup so that I can't download any files unless it is from my work email address and I can't use my work email address for personal items.

I forwarded the email to Wes...and he should be able to post them on this thread as I can't download and post them.

After seeing the pics, I have two questions.

1. Are the pin stripes painted on? If so that means I will have to have the doors repainted to remove the stripe.

2. In one of the pics of the hood, it looked like there were several good scratches in the paint right above the headlights. If this is true, then my interests in the car are fadding fast. It would just not be economical for me to buy these parts only to have them repainted when I can have my current body parts repainted. My primary reason for buy the parts is that the OEM paint holds up so much better versus a repaint.

Wes has the VIN# of the car...I screwed up with my internet connection and deleted the email from the seller.

Also good news is that the car currently runs, but I don't know if it is driveable..I asked for confirmation on this as well.

The pin stripes on my car are not painted on, I've never seen any "factory/dealer" ones that were painted. Just ugly, IMHO.

Painted on mine too.

You can try some oven cleaner to take them off before going through the expense of repainting them. You might eat through the base coat, but you'd be no worse off than before. just don't leave it on the paint for too long. spray,wipe...spray,wipe...etc

It worked on a pickup I bought a couple years ago with lettering on the side. As long as Infiniti doesn't clear coat over the stripes you shoul be OK.

FWIW, my pin stripes do not include the Infiniti Mt Fuji oval that I've seen on others, so mine may not be from the factory.
