Wes....I went to the yards again today...but the one with the good seats was closed. Wes....before I go back there to take pics, do you have the monies including shipping to buy these seats? I don't know for certain, but I am sure that after shipping you are looking at least $300. How about you call them first and get an idea of the price before I drive over there again to take pics. The salvage yards is "Minton's" 305-688-6661 and ask for Chuck. The car they have there is a 94 Pearl colored Q with tan interior. I think the passenger seat is perfect and driver's seat was good, but it was dusty as the car was hit in the drivers so it has been exposed to the elements more. After you talk with them and still interested, I will take pics. By the way...Chuck was the only reasonable salvage yard as all the others were trying to rip me off every single way possible. I got the rearend for $225 and the 93 TCU for $50...so I think that what ever price he quotes you should be very reasonable price as everybody else wanted at least $300 for a rearend and at least $125 for TCU's and that is after a lot of heavy bargaining. I did not try to bargin Chuck as he gave me a very good fair price straight up without any negotiations. Hope you have a similar experience with them.
Corey...I found one engine in a 94 car base model. The car was rolled....looked like at least 2 complete rolls at the car was very round. This salvage yard guy was very "proud" of his junk and so he charging way too much. Wanted $1,000 and I said yeah right. The engine looked good, distributor/ignition was gone but all else was there but I could not tell how many miles at the speedo was gone. The car has been there a couple of months at least as there was rust on the car and pulleys had typical rust around them as well. The phone number is 305-688-1611.
Other than that...there is not much out there in these yards. The cars have already been picked over pretty good except for the car at Mintons with only 56K on it. There were a few clocks and the like, but nothing special and no more 93 cars where I could buy the 93 TCU. I could not even find a drivers side door that was in good shape for me to buy as I have a big dent in my door from some nice person while parked at the grocery store. There were only about 5 94-95 cars and the other 15 or so were 90-93 cars.
