Gentlemen, I have some bad news.

I called up my contact about the aforementioned red '95 Q45 and unfortunately, the vehicle was towed to a wreckage yard. I called up the yard and all the goodies (engine, transmission, wheels) have been removed. To make matters worse, this yard is notorious for charging up the wazoo for parts.

Wrecked 2nd gen Q's in that condition are very, very hard to come by but I'll promise to keep scouring local leads and hopefully another one will pop up.

So except for everyone having a list of things they need, we're back to square one.

The way you make money on a parts car is to sell the used parts at 50% of retail........what smart junk yards do.........then give a discount to volume buyers of roughly 25% of retail so a well diassembled Q should have $4-5,000 in parts sales if you wait long enough..........subtract the labor and time to ship/deliver so maybe a profit of $2,000.........again if you wait long enough.

Don't let things go too cheaply!

I haven't been following this thread too closely, but a 91 Q (no details other than not wrecked) may have fallen in my lap for $500.

I've been harassing the guy for several days for the contact name, but he's a "I'll maybe talk to him tomorrow" kinda guy.

I passed on parting out my Mom's 98 Max SE, but if I even get a diff out of the deal, the rest is up for grabs.

I'd be interested in the transmission if it's a lower milage Q.

Hey guys, I've been MIA with some serious spyware problems, finally Nuked & Paved.

From a quick scan looks like we're not buying the Q in KY, correct?
