Just remembered another part needed, the front diver side corner turn light, that is if no one else has dibes.

Wes...thanks for posting the pics.

I will be getting some more pics of the car as well and will post them as I get them for anybody interested. I think Wes said that the interior color was "tan" based on the VIN#...so I owe Wes a favor or two for that one :D....I still go my old rear sway bar. I will bring it up to you when I pick up the parts on this car.

Thanks for you suggestions on the pin stripe as I thought that all facotry pin stripes were painted on. I will talk with a body shop about taking off the painted on pin stripe to see what they say.

I am still very interested in this car, but I don't think that we have enough monies to get it. The seller wants $1,900 firm. I have at most $750, but I need a few thinks clarified before I can fulley commit.

Can somebody run the VIN# in CARFAX to see if the car has been in any prior accidents? Need to know if any body panels have been repainted already?

Also one of pics of the hood that they sent me appears to have lots of scratches on it. If it comes down to that we do have the monies, I will pay somebody for their time to look at the car and determine how bad the scratches are before we buy it.

I am also waiting to hear if the pin stripes are painted on or sticker. If factory painted on...according the the body shop I talked to...the doors will need to be refinished to remove the stripe and look right. Does anybody have any "real" experience with removing factory pin stripes?

I need this car only for body panels to avoid repainting my car....so if the the body panels need refnishing, then I am out and will just get my car repainted although more costly it is.

I am in SouthAmerica and have limited access to the internet and phone calls cost $3.94/min on my company cell....If anybody else wants to take up this project your assistance is welcomed and appreciated as I will not be back until June 3rd at the earliest to the US.

Thanks...Rob

Oh, by the way, as I washed my Q today, I looked at my pinstripes. I have them BTW. They appear to be painted on, but I would say they're on top of the clear coat. Now, I'm not an expert on paint and body. I say that because there's one little spot where mine have come off and the paint undernead looks the same as all the rest. FWIW.

Hey folks!

I understand you're having a difficult time locating a parts car for a reasonable price.

I believe I can be of some assistance here. As some of you know, I regularly part out Q45's. As we speak, I have a handle on a red 1995 Q45 (very much like Elwesso's immaculate Q) with some front end damage. The interior is all-black and in absolutely mint-condition. It's got a nice set of silver BBS multi-spoke rims with all the wheelcaps intact.

According to the odo, it has 97k miles with both original engine and transmission and to my knowledge was in good working order before the accident.

Again, I realize many of you are in dire need of some parts so if I can be of any help, please let me know. Thanks y'all!

AZ94Q,

Because the vehicles not currently at the shop yet, I wouldn't want to make any commitments I couldn't fulfill. If the vehicle's still available and if there's enough interest generated here to warrant the purchase, I'll have it towed to our shop.

So when the parts are available, you'll be the first to know.

As for the wheels, they were in IMMACULATE condition, equipped with tires with decent tread left. For now, if you could make an offer for all the items you'd like, I'll be willing to work something out with you.

Sopadope, is it possible for you to get a 90-93 transmission + ecu? If so, how much?

Thanks,

Corey

Miniman,

Sorry to disappoint you but I believe the local supply for those 90-93 TCU's have been pretty much depleted (I'm to blame for that). However, I can double-check that tomorrow when I head down to my local salvage yard. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow. Yards want a pretty penny for those TCU's and ECU's so you're probably looking at over $200 for the pair.

Again, I'll give you a confirmation tomorrow.

Thanks AZ and Sopadope.

I'm looking for a functional unit, I don't want to set the $$$ down for a levelten rebuild yet. I'd just like the gearing of the earlier Qs. Do you mind if I ask what other parts are coming with your car AZ? Sound like you got a KILLER deal!

Sopadope, If you come across a 93 TCU I'd be willing to shell $100 USD for it. Just tell em it's bad and you want it for parts for a project :rolleyes .

Thanks again!

Corey

Sopdadope,

Here is a list of things I need if we don't get the parts car above. How often do you get these cars and do you work with a salvage yard? Do you have cheap shipping accounts where it is much cheaper for you to ship versus the general public to ship items?

Drivers/Passenger Seats With Heater (Taupe)Steering Wheel (Taupe)Drivers Side Front Door = Black Painted Sheet Metal Needed (not the interior trim, but will take the trim if nobody else wants it)Drivers Side Rear Door = Black Painted Sheet Metal Needed (not the interior trim, but will take the trim if nobody else wants it)Front Bumper Cover & Assembly Black PaintedRear Passenger Door Trim Outline...difficult to describe but the "felt/cloth molding" trim outlining the door (on the body, not the door itself) of the car.Hood Black Painted

I will pay good monies for all the above if in good condition, but I can't get up to MA until July at the earliest and it would have to be a really good deal for me....otherwise it would probably work out better shipping giving gas prices. I will send you a separate email later detailing my needs....Thanks for your offer of assistance.

Also my car is a 1995 model year.

Sop: If the parts car down South...goes well...uh..south then,

I'm looking for an undamaged 94-96 grill. If you have one let me know a cost.

Thanks,

Hey guys...I am out out this parts car. The quote above is from the seller. (at least he is honest), but I don't want to buy a repainted door and that is the door that I mainly need.

Sopdadope....got any black 94-96 Q's laying around with some good body parts?

So with rsiwicki out, I don't guess we can buy this other car and we're going with Sopdadope?

Sopdadope, do you have some of these things and how much? I have a 94.

Antenea Motor and mast

Factory CD Changer that'll plug right in

Black Armrest (Maybe)

Climate Control Unit (Maybe)

Little cover that conceals screws on back of steering wheel in black.

Both Front Door Actuators (If they're good. Mine want to lock my keys in the car.)

Front and Rear Sway bars. (These should just bolt right on shouldn't they.)

Don't we all make our cars sound like junk when we come up with a laundry list like this?
