I run 10w40, which is the same deal as 5w40 at operating temps. Just means there's less viscosity at startup with the 5w.

Yeah Mattb is correct from what I gather: the first number just deals with the start up viscosity, so winter is coming, and here in PA (you're in VA u bastard lol) we gets cold, so its nicer on the starter. Especially since I have the battery in the rear going through those 150A fuses. More mechanical load = more electrical load for the starter aka amperage. The 40 just means its resistant to being s***ty when u run the piss out of the motor and s*** gets hot, so still good for track use. Whatever, just resistance to heat/ thicker.

Yes dale I say nub all the time ask my HACC friends up here they say it now lol. -one of my few remaining wow/halo vocabulary still used, fyi i dont do games at all anymore folks don't ask me to join ur xbox thing lol.

Sry bout the non taking other ppl to drift day, but finish ur car jeff U no get cookie til its done lol. This whole build thread was in Josh's garage just a reminderrrrrrrrr hahahaa.ttyl yall sry im intermittent these days

The Yellow Vette with all the stickers was my former employer and owns the place where I do all my work. He just picked up a Spec Miata.

I miss auto-x.

Oh and that two-tone coup pictured in Hbg might be one of the only other cars of that color combo I've seen in the area.

Drivin there, idk i like the scenery

Doug pulling out for run 1

Pro/am drifter dudes who showed up to demo (surprise demo i guess heh)

Waiting for my turn took a picDoug had some nice runs I wanna learn transitions like this guy next time we goParking limited heh. Touring the pits was fun though, josh has lots of pics from that.Front lip mowing grass win, idk it made me lol.

Sick import intelligence car? Clean as hell, blew his turbo Dougs car again w/ ppl drifting. I want a better cam so these cool shots I think of taking turn out better. Some beaver run peeps showed up late to watch, they ran the drag strip earlier that day.Sweet looking car, he had throttle sticking problemss and was plowing during tandem The circle at dusk. The banked turns are pretty crazyfun lol.

Fun stuff mang. It was hard getting started lol, I spun out like 5 times my first time trying. Steve/Starko from driftpa.com was riding shotgun helping and what helped the most were when he said to try not to fight the car too much when steering... The biggest tip was when he said to steer the car with throttle after you start to slide, more gas= more angle. I have to remember this for next time lol it's hella fun.Didn't even burn through my 1st set of tires so I'll be back

Smooth transitions? Me? NAW.

You just gotta let the car countersteer itself. Lift as soon as you feel the car swing back around and punch it.

Steve told me to steer the car with rear wheels.

Maybe it was my welded, iunno?

That's one thing i'm trying to figure out, but my front is messing me up, i've been told by everyone who drives my car that i can't use these sentra rims to drift, I gotta get something in a lower offset. omg

Yeah idk gohan/doug. Maybe taking my rear roll bar out is actually a good idea...

All this talk of breaking tie rods... I was glad I put those moog inner/outers on and boy did they hold up just fine, through spinning out on and off the track lol.Nevertheless, it was fun and I'll be lookin for the next event lol. I'll try to get some rocker stoppers before then!

Ok so I've been researching things to use as plugs for the power antenna hole, and today I couldn't wait to take it out any longer for weight savingsssss lol!

Electrical tape for now. This 7/8 nylon hole plug from home depot just barely is too big for the ovular shape of the hole. I have to dremel the red areas out of it and it'll fit. I can then paint it body colored and apply silicon sealer and bam, clean shaven hole without welding... for now.

btw the power 'tenna only weighs like 1.5-2 lbs lol.. Every bit helps tho

I wish I coulda gone with you, thats a good idea man. Maybe someday you can show me what plug you bought. That 1.5 pounds is alot for one little thing. It all helps lol.
