I came pretty close to getting that roof painted black...but, then again, I kinda hate dealing with that color. Imho, it sucks trying to buff/polish it and any scratches there are show up really easy (to me at least).

As for the lug nuts, I got them from here:

http://www.frsport.com/Muteki-....html

...$50 for the lug nuts and $10 for the shipping.

Thanks!

Also, I got the new window tint on this morning.

The windows for the doors have 25% on them, the quarter glass and the glass on the hatch have 18% on it...and its all legal too. It's pretty dark anyways so Im happy with it.

Like I said before...If i do go the v8 route and find a good deal on a ls1 (hell, maybe even a ls6), then I'll be all over it.

Very good work man, and an interesting thread to read through as well!

Do you have any idea what the stuff that you used to seal the seams with was? I was turning page after page looking for the "ingredients" that made your body work and final product so good.

Not off the top of my head, no...but when I go back to work tomorrow, I'll go ahead and find out what it was that I used.

Edit: I'll also mention the other products that I used as well.........something which I actually meant to do months ago.

The cost? That's kinda hard to say dude, especially since I don't even know what the rust situation on your car looks like lol....to get a good idea of how much it's going to cost, I would just to take it to a body shop and get an estimate.

It's not exactly going to be cheap nonetheless.

Yep, I do. Hopefully I can get the interior taken care of sometime this...um, year.

Long story short, I just want to get the interior all cleaned-up/replaced, re-paint it, etc. and hopefully put in a roll cage (it's still way too soon to tell if Im going to be able to do that)...

$800 for getting all of the rust cleaned up and the areas worked on repainted? That's not bad imo.

What shop do you work at in Missoula than? Just curious because I would like to fix the things wrong with mine and repaint it eventually... wanted to know around what it would cost but since you did it on your own its kind of hard to say. Im only about 2 hours away from you and would love to see your car with the new paint on it

Ricks Auto Body

Yeah....Although im kind of curious of how much it would have actually cost if I had it go through the shop instead. The total amount of money I spent for materials wasn't too bad nonetheless (except for this particular color...that was super expensive)

Mines white and it has a few body issues, 2 rusts spots on the front fenders both small atm and starting to crack. also has a spot on the drivers side rear bumper where the paint was taken off about 2 inches wide and an inch tall where it also cracked down plus the front bumper has the holes from the plate and some other stuff... I would like to fix it all and repaint it so I can get rid of the areas where the paint is chipping and was hoping you would have suggestions of a good body shop but as I read through your thread it pretty much explained that you did all your restoration yourself... car looks amazing and I wish I could do that myself but sadly I cant

Yay! Another update...one that Im not too happy about either.

I am getting a few parts repainted...the driver side headlight cover thing and the bumper side skirts were a little off color...I knew this since it got painted but I intentionally waited until now to get those taken care of.

That, and all those little rocks that the snow plow guys lay down on the road did this. Partially my fault too....I didn't remove the little clip things that hold the fender liner when the car got painted, for some dumb reason. When I did remove them earlier today, it scraped off some more paint.

Also...the driver side headlight cover, that needed to be repainted anyways, would rub up against the hood when it was in the up position (or whatever you would call it). You can see some paint on the corner there that rubbed off.

So, I went ahead and sanded down all that stuff w/ 600 grit on a da...and feathered back the spot on the cover where it was chipped. Then scuffed the edges and everything else.

I masked that little area up...

and just sprayed primer on areas that needed to be primed.

All this should be repainted by monday night.

Also, Im sorry frapjap and all those who were wondering what stuff I've been using...I'll let ya guys know...eventually. I just keep forgetting.

Ok, those parts got repainted and the color matches...better, at least.

So recently my car has been running really weird. The idle wasn't normal, had trouble starting...long story short, I got stranded in a parking lot yesterday. Found out the fuel pump died, so now I just ordered a walbro 255 fuel pump . Im hoping after getting that replaced, these problems I have been running into this past week will be solved.

Well, got the walbro installed, it did help ease the issues I have been running into.

Now, only every once in a while when I go to start the car up, it would start but then immediately choke out and die. When that does happen, I have to wait a couple of hours before it'll actually fire again. (this occured before the pump was installed as well)

I cleaned the maf, replaced spark plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor are new...anyways, im starting to believe the fpr is faulty. (also i think another possibility may be a leaky injector)

Any input on this is appreciated. Thanks!

I havent had to troubleshoot this issue myself but are you thinking one of them is leaking or all of them? Cuz a car can typically idle on 3 cylinders... just not well and Im sure you replaced your fuel filter when you did the fuel pump right?

Yeah, I got a new fuel filter when the pump was installed...

Well, long story short, the culprit behind this issue ended up being the crank position sensor (or whatever it's called) out of all things. I just took it to a shop to do a computer diagnositics or something and basically I was told that sensor was gone.

Sweeeeeet...fuel pump dies...then that sensor decides to go out as well. *sigh*
