Sorry, man, I've been hella busy with work and this car...and then toss in the family stuff.

I'll be online for sure, tomorrow night, probably sometime around 7:30-8:00.

Here we go! No laughing at my welds on the SS dump tube. I welded it directly to the wastgate, because there wasn't enough room for the flange.

Not that I'm nit picking your setup. If you would have welded a small portion of pipe to the WG, you could have then welded a flange to that once you made room. Or a Vband clamp setup, or a flex tube with a gapless bandclamp. Thye work very well and allow you to run plumbing anywhere.

I'm only saying this for everyone else considering this project.

Have you had it running yet??

Damn, that's a good idea!

So, where my first weld is, I really should have welded on a flange, then used a mating flange on the rest of the pipe.

Please, don't think I'm gonna whine about getting some criticism. This is called R&D and it takes more than one mind to get things right.

When I first swapped in the STi injectors and retuned accordingly, I had this silly little phantom stumble/flood issue that would happen randomly when coming to a stop/idle. However, despite the "flooding" issue (would only restart if I pulled the injector clips for a few cranks), all AFR's were in check.

Well, after getting my chip burner straightened out, I adjusted the injector lag time from .76ms to .72ms. The car runs and drives like stock! Holy crap, it's so smooth now!

So, yeah, it runs and runs well. This turbo spools up quickly. I'll do some drag racin' tomorrow, get it on video and post it up. Keep in mind, it's a 1/8mi track. Please, don't expect any low 8sec passes, as I'm on street tires with an open diff. But, it'll give an idea of how the car goes.

Ok, did a little runnin' tonight.

1. The smell of new exhaust components sucks.

2. This turbo is WAY better than the T3/T04E from agp turbo I used to have. I get 12-13psi by around 3300rpm and it comes on quickly.

3. I love cereal.

WD is gay.

That turbo you are talking about here is the one from http://www.teamblindside.com ?

I'm still itching to go T3 but can't find a good manifold to go with. The bottom mount is still 95% gonna happen though. I think I shall follow in the footsteps of a wise man I once knew named KATwo40

Can you explain boost creep? I read it a lot here but no clue what it is? We probably got a good Swedish word for it but don´t know which.

Boost creep is when the wastegate fails to keep the boost at the desired pressure. Usually do to a small opening or poor placement.

Ah, boost creep actually gives you higher boost then? I thought it was the opposite. Thanks!

Yep, as the rpms increase and exhaust pressure build up, the WG is no longer able to relieve enough pressure. Cause the boost to "creep" up. Somtimes enough to pop a motor.

We call it boost bolt according to the lexicon, like "the horse bolted."

Well, didn't get to run at the track today, as I'm not quite finished tuning, but I can say this...

15psi feels good!

So far, no creep issues. We'll see how she does tomorrow.

Yep bolted can mean has a couple of meanings. Like I bolted down the manifold, or my horse ****ing bolted and I fell off.

You should put together a kit for noobs like myself or at least compile a list SKU #'s and offer to re-flash ECU's and I know I would be willing to send you the money ASAP

Expect a IM from DRFTPRETTY within a few days lol

Anytime, credit where due. I may be scoring a set of the same injectors soon, what did you do for injector harnesses?

Also, I will shoot you an email regarding injector latency, settings etc.

You'll need the STi injector clips, but just pin the stock harness into the clips. It's a bit of a pain to get them into the STi clips, but it works. Use beer, when necessary.

Feel free to email me about the settings.

I'll be out of town this weekend (Telluride CO ski trip FTW!), so it would need to be next week, like Wed. or later.

Of course, if it's not blizzarding tomorrow, you're welcome to come tomorrow.
