Yeah that would be sick. All you have to do after that is paint your hatch orange and you will be the offical holloween car of the year.

Yes this has been discussed, thats my only fear, too many people will think its a halloween type deal, but its just the paint scheme. I was thinking about repainting the roof orange too, just because that this is so beat now, plus when i tried ammonia to pull the tints, It leaked out of the bottle and down the roof leaving a nasty stain.

Um...orange hood? That'll be as successful as dougs lime green valvecover.

Hint: after two days you'll regret it.

If you do orange, do just the hood. No crazy lines/faces

You say that now, but once you go through the hassle of painting the whole car youll never want to do it again lol

Try the hood & see how it goes.

Well, this is a shell until next summer, so I'm not wasting the time to paint the whole car, and I know what I'm doing next shell, so I'm not even bothering now. I just wanna do the hood. With the angled lines.

diagonals follow NONE of the 240's body lines and end up going straight at the headlight bucket area...

just aesthetically not the best idea in any way. just paint the whole hood as one color, or dont do it...

keep it simple

Arg, Keegan, We'll see. I really like my idea, I know its not the best idea, but i think it will work. It's like 10 min to wetsand, and 10 mins to respray if I dont like, and its black, so I can't see it being that hard.

Ok, so here is a sweet update, got a pic of what my wheels look like, here is the 18x9.5 +25 offset. This is my rear, and I will have the 17x9's +25 in the front. I dont have them in hand yet, but as soon as I do, I'll be taking some mad pics.

No sparkles, and they look alot better then the 16x9's they have. I may bail on the orange hood idea too, idk yet.

Oh and here is my steering wheel with the horn kinda fake fitted, I have no choice but to squish it between the wheel and hub. I pulled the fake ferrari sticker out, and put in my own idea.

Here's what they had, it said Steering Emblem...LOL

As for the hood... please dont do it. You will hate yourself. Looks really tacky in my opinion plus you'll look like a retarted PBM sponsor that doesnt get paid.

Ahhhh I couldn't take not working or touching the 240 for 2 weeks, so I decided to put the wheel on. Went great. I love it, looks anyway, feels great but I cant turn the car on to spin the wheel smoothly. And its a woodwheel, dont wanna put excessive stress on the wheel, plus it was kinda on the cheap side i think so i dont wanna break the thing. So Can't wait to fix the car saturday and drive it.

You heard the man and saw the vid, Car is alive and healthy. Sadly I had no idea Tom was filming me, I was just excited that it wasnt leaking.

Started at 9:30am, and took me about an hour and half to pull the manifold and turbo with all the elbows on it. Longest thing was draining the fluids. So I didnt take any pics, of this progress. So I waited for Tom to arrive, I got a chance to take some decent pics of the crap that stopped me...Here is what it looked like, the banjo could easily move around, and not tight at all.

So I removed the fitting and the crap around the hole immediately showed me what happened. It wasnt JB weld, it crumbled under all the force of the banjo being cramped down. It fell apart as I took out the fitting.

Here's a huge chunk of it.

So I cleaned up the hole, used my knife and scraped it all out of the hole, so that the beveled edge was showing again. I then put the lines aluminum washer on it, with the beveled edge on it, and cranked her down tight. Tom and I reinstalled the manifold, with turbo and elbows on, no real issues, until we reinstalled the header nuts. Thats when I tightened the replaced non oem stud, and it just stripped itself out of the block, leaving no threads for the stud to stay in. So we took the stud and flipped it over, and i guess there were enough threads in the block that it worked...So I put the nut on, I need a big washer like stock, to make it work, its not holding anything atm. But car idles fine, no leaks. Keegan will give me hell, but whatever.

So we went out for a drive, I took Tom out the lake at Little Buffalo, showed him all the fun roads to drive out there, and we had a nice spirited drive. Took it easy for a little. I also want to say, I love this new steering wheel. It's amazing nice, and comfortable. We also threw in the synchromesh fluid, and its amazing, going into the gears was never so amazing. So I gotta admit this car is dailyable and I will be taking it to school monday.

good to see her running better than ever, now all you have to do is throw in that welded diff and go practice drifting in LARGE OPEN AREAS where there is nothing for you to hit.

looking at some 240s down here in Texas... hopefully will own one soon
