I'll be temporarily mending the ghetto turbo by scraping the jbweld flush to the turbo housing, and using the stock fittings. If stock lines dont work for some reason, I'll attempt the braided again. I'll start with just changing the oil feed, to just fix my issue. I'll still rebuild my turbo, if I can't, T28 will be right around the corner. I have 0 patience with bullsheit, so I'm not gunna keep d!ck with this stuff.
When installing OEM turbo lines, be very careful threading the OEM banjo bolts back in the block. Take a second to clean the threads and make sure it's not cross threading when it's going in. The way the lines like to sit, it promotes cross threading is you're not paying attention. I also had a slight issue finding properly sized crush washers when I reinstalled the lines.

K thanks Bumnah, I'll make sure I do it right, Ask Keegan, I worry about cross threading too much, so even if it threads correctly, I'll panic.

maybe im not thinking about it enough but i dont understand what exactly the problem was with the braided lines and homemade oil restrictor

The braided oil lines dont fit onto the "homeade oil restrictor" and also, the jbweld extrudes out of the hole on the turbo by a good 1/8th of an inch. One wouldnt think thats a problem, but the braided lines banjo is a little wider then stock I believe, soooo, the threads on the bolt with the hole dont sink down into the turbo deep enough, therefore, in order to make them even fit in the hole in the turbo, we had to remove one of the copper crush washers, and we tightened it as snug as we could without crushing the jbweld to bits, hoping it would seal. What I plan on doing is no reusing the homeade oil restrictor for 2 reasons, 1. Completely stupid and useless idea, why restrict oil to something that is spinning as mucho RPM, and 2. I cant seem to relocate where it went, hopefully in the trash where that s*** belongs in the first place. I will scrape the jbweld flat, and make it flush with the turbo itself, and use the Stock SR lines, hopefully comes with the bolts as well for the banjo's if not, I hope the braided lines bolts work with the stock banjos.

EDIT: Ok so I went out and did a little further investigation. I had a moment where I thought it was a simple mistake I made, by not tightening down the small hose clamp on the top of the oil return. Not the case, it is infact the banjo fitting on the top of the turbo. Now assuming I could get a 17mm wrench in there, which I haven't tried, and I'm pretty sure I can't, I could attempt to tighten down the fitting and make a stronger seal. I'll have to remove the entire exhaust Mani again, which means doing all this work over again. So... The JBweld must not have been used for fixing a tapped out hole, but instead was used as a seal for the homemade oil restrictor fitting. So I'll make that flush put my copper crush washer on, and Hopefully....My leak is fixed. My only other fear is that the oil looks watery, thats leaking out, may just be that its fresh oil, but it does look watery, so I'm curious if the lines are crossed. Now if that were the case i'd have an immediate smoke show, as coolant would be returning to oil and oil would be going into coolant. And both things are not happening. So, I'm pretty sure its new oil.

oh i see what you mean. thats a real crappy "fix " someone did down the line.

the oils restrictor isnt a crappy idea its just not as crucial on a journal bearing turbo and a crappy homemade one isnt good. i have a good homemade one that went to keegan when he bought my turbo

I'm not talking so much about the restrictor fitting, as the jbweld that was layed down on the housing itself, raised above the hold for the fitting, it was your turbo, you put that fitting in there correct?? Somehow that jbweld got on there....Who owned the turbo before you? Note: this is not an attack towards you, just trying to figure this s*** out, and I'll take a bunch of pics when I get it back off the car.

hmm hit me up on aim sn- rockman195 so i can help provide answers. that was the original turbo of of my car and i dont think it was ever removed til i took it off. it had the stock head lines, one cracked so i bought braided lines, resold those since i decided then to go with a bigger turbo and i sold the stock one to keegan with restrictor. the restrictor was made just how i said above. no jb weld was used at all. i might even have pics of when we made it, i'll have to check. are you sure there wasnt any jb weld on the lines or soemthing? hit me up i'm curious now

Ok, so in my drunken fun tonight, i decided to find my rendition of what I'm gunna do with my hood. I had a few ideas with doing a face, or just plain orange, so here are the few options.

Tom's Gf was nice enough to turn the hood orange for me.

Then she sent me a pic with a face on it....LOL

Then I started modding on MS paint the real hood design, I did a spooky face...

Then Tom said something on Aim, and it just so happened we both drew the same idea and shared it at the same time, and we both LOVED it, so this is what I'll be doing with the hood, to match my orange theme I got going on.

Lemme know what you think....It will match my PBM parts, underhood and the chassis, and the k sport hydro brake, and the wheel sorta.

Yes I do have that wiifit, its kinda fun, but stressful for me, I hate playing them balancing games, i love that i can play drums realistically on wiimusic though. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to convince me this is a bad idea.

You should also get a giant pbm sticker in black and put it on your hood and convince them to give you a full sponcership, haha.

Anyway, you got a nice car and hopefully we'll see each other at a couple of track/drift days.

LOL, you just sold me on the idea, I told Tom I should put a PBM sticker across the hood, as I still have my giant PoweredByMax.Net sticker to lay down, its silver but I can do some magic to turn it black. I was thinking lay the sticker down before I paint the orange, and Then spray the orange and pull the sticker up.
