The braided oil lines dont fit onto the "homeade oil restrictor" and also, the jbweld extrudes out of the hole on the turbo by a good 1/8th of an inch. One wouldnt think thats a problem, but the braided lines banjo is a little wider then stock I believe, soooo, the threads on the bolt with the hole dont sink down into the turbo deep enough, therefore, in order to make them even fit in the hole in the turbo, we had to remove one of the copper crush washers, and we tightened it as snug as we could without crushing the jbweld to bits, hoping it would seal. What I plan on doing is no reusing the homeade oil restrictor for 2 reasons, 1. Completely stupid and useless idea, why restrict oil to something that is spinning as mucho RPM, and 2. I cant seem to relocate where it went, hopefully in the trash where that s*** belongs in the first place. I will scrape the jbweld flat, and make it flush with the turbo itself, and use the Stock SR lines, hopefully comes with the bolts as well for the banjo's if not, I hope the braided lines bolts work with the stock banjos.
EDIT: Ok so I went out and did a little further investigation. I had a moment where I thought it was a simple mistake I made, by not tightening down the small hose clamp on the top of the oil return. Not the case, it is infact the banjo fitting on the top of the turbo. Now assuming I could get a 17mm wrench in there, which I haven't tried, and I'm pretty sure I can't, I could attempt to tighten down the fitting and make a stronger seal. I'll have to remove the entire exhaust Mani again, which means doing all this work over again. So... The JBweld must not have been used for fixing a tapped out hole, but instead was used as a seal for the homemade oil restrictor fitting. So I'll make that flush put my copper crush washer on, and Hopefully....My leak is fixed. My only other fear is that the oil looks watery, thats leaking out, may just be that its fresh oil, but it does look watery, so I'm curious if the lines are crossed. Now if that were the case i'd have an immediate smoke show, as coolant would be returning to oil and oil would be going into coolant. And both things are not happening. So, I'm pretty sure its new oil.
