I just pulled the trigger and purchased a brushed aluminum one!! Can't wait to get it and mount it up. Planning on changing my belts soon, so I'll switch out the under tray at the same time.tollboothwilley wrote:Yes - Just make sure to leave a note specifying that you are M45 and I will add spacers and longer bolts to accommodate.
Just to confirm this is only an issue with the M45? I'll be able to change the oil and the filter without removing anything on the M35x 2008 once ilya confirms the fit?DaSerb wrote:Just to confirm....for m45 models.....in order to change the oil filter, the tray has to be taken off ???
AAwwwwww yeeaaahhhhhh. I'll report back as soon as I get it on guys...I sent TBW my stock shield so I have every belief that this is gonna be the one. Thanks for doing this for the X guys TBW, we usually don't get much love by vendors cause our cars are a bit different.

I should be getting the next test shield early next week...hoping this one will be the one. If it is, TBW will be ready to start producing for the M35x guys.patmcd06 wrote:Any updates on the m35x fitment??

lol...I use zip ties a lot. I haven't driven the car yet (will tonight once I button up the exhaust - needed to get new bolts since all of mine rusted and I had to cut them all).svard75 wrote:Zip ties FTW!! Is that the official mounting fastener? Looks good. I would like to know if there is any noise or vibration at high speeds?
Car is still on the lift at home. I'll take one tonight while I'm finishing the exhaust.TDot wrote:Wish you took a picture of the oil filter door open.

IlyaKol wrote:It's not an issue to unscrew the bolt, but draining the pan. I think TBW has a plan for fixing this though.
TBW I wasn't DOH'ing your miss with this part, it's very understandable that working on something like this remotely isn't a perfect process it's trial and error. I was DOH'ing at my failure to see that it's not just removal of the bolt that is the issue rather the draining of the oil as well.tollboothwilley wrote:Simple simple. We just didnt know it until now.
