Mine should arrive tomorrow if the tracking is correct. If I'm able to put my M on the lift when I work this weekend I'll advise...

Really interested tired off droping the plate to change oil. Just got to get a little more ahead on bills before I can get car parts. Are these going to be limited production or are you going to continue making them?

I don't know at this point. It really depends on if anybody who is on the list actually starts buying. So far mostly just a bunch of people who have joined the list and very few who are ready to actually pull the trigger. I'm sure there are some waiting to see someone else do it first. Time will tell all.

Waiting to see if this fits a 2006 M45...would like to know if oil filter door is in same spot. Might make it worth my while to change my own oil if I don't have to remove 21 (I think) bolts/fasteners.

My under tray was shipped to my work and showed on Friday which is one of my days off. Put the M on the lift when i got to work this AM and got as far as removing the old saggy POS before duty called. Tomorrow I'll be back at it to finish up(hopefully) and get back with the final result...

just completed my order (again) in brushed aluminum...

fyi...during my initial purchase attempt this past week, I added a note to the seller (TBW) with my forum name(CPJ LB from NICO) and Paypal put a 'hold' on my purchase for a few days since they were skeptical about what 'NICO' stood for as well as my forum name 'CPJ LB'.... LOL.

I had to cancel the order and call and explain what the "secret" acronyms stood for :lolling:

unbelievable!

For the M45 owners...
Put the tray on this AM and the fit is perfect. The small removable flap does give access to the drain plug but not the filter, ours is on the drivers side. There is a gap to fit your hand thru but no way to get a filter wrench around it. You would still have to drop the tray.
The other issue is once I dropped the car and started it up I could feel the engine vibrating the whole car. Drove it around the block to see if it would stop but no luck. Put it back on the lift to remove and vibration is gone.

Filter not a big deal but vibration in the cabin is.

One thing I may have failed to mention...during installation you may need to swing your lower radiator hose clamp 90° to avoid vibration noise.

That should be the only place where it vibrates against anything

Man, that would be nice if that's all it was but the vibration is significant . I'll give it another go and see if that works.
Gonna have to fight for the lift though now that the regular work week starts tomorrow...lol!

i know its not from from the sway bar - and there is nothing else that touches. As long as your bolts are tight there is nothing else that should be rubbing at all. I know that the lower radiator hose clamp hangs down(passenger side) and can come in contact. I should have noted this for you before installation. You should have no vibration noise whatsoever as long as the bolts are snug. There is nothing else that comes in contact.

Nope it doesn't have anything to do with bolts. Same location as stock. If snug they don't vibrate at all. All the hundreds of people who have run my products can attest to this. It can only be something rubbing. Only thing rubbing can be metal on metal...which would be what I mentioned.

so it comes as 2 parts? a front and a back section, even though the OEM tray is one piece?

Can you give us pictures of the whole tray and it's component pieces?

for the M45, it looks like the drain plug is still somewhat recessed behind the frame of the tray and am I imagining draining oil hitting the tray and making a giant mess or Is it just the angle of the pics?

They overlap - it makes it easy to remove just half instead of the entire tray

THese should help you get the idea

got it now, it was hard to see the seam between the 2 pieces in the lower pic, so it looked like one piece.

I think mine arrived yesterday (was in a hurry to leave to go out so didn't analyze the giant box that was by the garage), so I will try to put it on this weekend. He was kind enough to send me a test unit as I'm a M35x owner (and we both see that some guys are waiting to pull the trigger).

I'll report back hopefully saturday afternoon.

Hey I could be a test dummy for the M45X fitment. Know there have to be a few M45X owners that would like to have the under tray

It's the angle... drain plug is accessible and should drain just fine and IF you never had to use a filter wrench, the filter is accessible from the side without removing the tray.

Six legs
Did you find what was causing the vibration yet? Was it the hose clamp?
