I need to double check pricing for final version but it seems like you guys prefer no vents. I will remove all unnecessary stuff including the Mt Fuji probably then.

Most people gonna want them in raw aluminum or will a lot of you guys want powder coated black to match stock?
Personally, the colour is not an issue. I think the car sits low enough, and the piece sits back enough that it's only barely visible and only if you look in certain spots. Powder coating will likely raise the price as well, perhaps higher than some in here will be able to spend? I say leave the powder coating as an option.

yeah, just looking for a head count kinda

Maybe i'll start off with just raw aluminum ones and go from there if people want to do powder.

I mean I like the slots and the infiniti logo but not at the expense of anything dirt getting in there.

The vents help w/ extra cooling - stock under tray cant really put them in as that would allow things to catch and rip the plastic. But it doesn't matter to me - it matters to those who are going to purchase it at the end of the day.

As cheap as possible is fine with me too. I don't need any crazy colors or carbon fibre lol.

Nice work! thanks for even considering doing the R&D and product development for our cars especially since the Q50/70 is out.

Maybe we should start a list of those who would buy it if price is.... (<$250?, $300, etc.)

I'm in for one if it is not too pricey.

I would also be interested in a plain aluminum one for the M35 RWD model. The ones you sell on Ebay for the G series are $165 but these will be larger so I reckon slightly higher in price.

**** NOTE ****
Tollboothwilley has a 100% positive feedback rating on Ebay! That speaks to the quality of his work !

Price will be around $180-200 shipped to lower 48 states is my goal. Still awaiting final numbers to confirm this but if its where I expect costs to be this will be accurate.

Wow, I have to say I wasn't expecting anything near that price. I saw a piece of aluminum that costs $35-50 and then add in tooling work, I expected $100, maybe $125-$140 because of low production count. Especially considering more substantial cosmetic and mechanical parts cost $200. Good luck with sales, but I'll have to wait till I drop the car and then REALLY consider it if its an absolute necessity at that price.

Seeming as #22 is plastic (part number 96010-EG000 - mine was partially torn off which is why I'm considering redoing the underside of my car) and $87...$200 for aluminum that covers a huge area of the underside of the front of the car is a steal.

#1 is the part in question and that is (for the X) part number: 75890-EG300

It is $111.65.

Obviously I would prefer as cheap if possible, so if it's possible for him to make it $125 or so...I'd be more inclined to buy it...but don't forget that shipping is going to be expensive since it's a large piece...

Aluminum costs more than plastic, it also takes time (time = money) to have it cut properly, then bent properly, there is administrative work Tollboothwilley has to do for each order, and the time and money he spent on R&D for this (final shipping part will be revision 3), plus shipping costs, and don't forget the tax part of the cost that the government wants for their cut. $200 really isn't bad at all.

I couldn't agree more with you guys. True, $200 might seem steep at first. But consider this: The plastic piece we currently have is flimsy and removing all those god-awful bolts just to change the oil is soooo time consuming! Also, this is NOT a cheap plastic item - it's aluminum and has more weight - shipping is not cheap either and shipping fees are included at this price. Having a firm, sturdy underbody protection PLUS an oil change door is well worth the price for me.

It all comes down to what you are willing to spend Vs how bad you want it. For instance I refuse to spend money on electric side mirrors, cat-back exhaust, or CAI systems. They don't interest me so even at half price, I won't buy them. Being able to feel secure about the underside of the engine and being able to open a small door (instead of removing countless bolts) for an oil / filter change is worth the price.

Agreed.. I'd be happier if it was more towards the $175-180 mark but if it acts like a skid plate I'll still buy

I have an M45. I'm low. I'm moving to north east in a week. I was there last week for 4 days and I scraped underneath more than 10 times. Most of the times was on the highway when there is a sudden change in level of asphalt on the hwy.

My question: Will I get sparks coming out of the back of the car? I want to look cool while I ultimately kill my car up north. Not on purpose of course.

MY goal is to make this as affordable as possible, but for the time/and money I have invested I do want to see some return for my efforts and costs. I will have final costs shortly so we can start setting up a group buy. I expect the final price to be around $150-175 + shipping.

Its is made from .063 Aluminum which is 1/16" thick. Light enough where you won't feel like an off road vehicle installing protection from rock crawling, but also strong enough where it doesn't bend and flex easily.

I never get sparks, nor hear anybody mention it. Its aluminum, so its really doesn't spark up anyways. Most people see reduced scraping from these because they do not sag like the OEM plastic. Sorry, but you'll have to drag you frame on the ground to look cool.
