I've done my share of stupid things. When I was stationed oversea's I had a R32 GTS-t. I bought a boost controller, installed it and turned up the boost without even having an aftermarket boost gauge. Ran that way for 6-7 days, luckily the tiny turbo didn't make enough to boost to pop anything. When I got a boost gauge and installed it, turns out I was spiking to 17 psi Dumbass If it weren't for the high octane fuel they have at the pump over there, I'm sure I would have popped something. Then again, I might have done SOME damage and not even known it.

I'm just someone that's had the chances to break things and learn from the experience. Ok...I learned a little

The Omaha meet is gonna be friggin awsome.

No, most of us so called "sr fanboys" just don't want to take the fun of f***ing with all you ka-t guys away from koshin.

I would really like to go to the show down, but nebraska is a hell of a drive from sc, and I don't foresee me haveing the spair monies or time to make it

I tell you what , if the S15 Silvia came stateside tommorow as a 2010 model with an SR20DET inside I would buy it in a heartbeat period. Unlike some Fanbois I am not a hater. Koshin is SO confident only cuz his car is so damn light. If his car was 3100lbs like mine he would get why I love my KA.

Just to clear things up, what kind of tires will be used?

I think that will be the decider if WD gets his s*** together and it runs how he wants.

We're using drag radials...or atleast I am. But I'm limited to what comes in 16" So it looks like 255's for me

Much depends on the driver If I can cut a 1.8-1.7 60' then there really won't be much of a race

I bring nothing to the table here other than KA is an engine meant to be in Pathfinders and Frontiers. It was a dam shame we never got the SR20DET motors in our S chassis cars.

I disagree. The most correct statement we can make is it's a damn shame that our models didn't come with a turbo

The SR with the T25 or the KA with a T3 would both be awsome platforms from the factory Neither is better...

Small engine not designed to go into a larger vehicle vs an engine designed to be in a larger vehicle but installed in a smaller lighter vehicle instead. That's been the basics of Hot Roding since prohibition. Grab a glove and get in the game...we'll wait if you need to brush up.

I have been into tuner cars since i had been 12 years old. Im 23 now but one thing i have learned was when people do motor swaps to gain power they usually go up in displacement not down.

What makes nissan different ? Oh wait i know a turbo.

Fords= 4.6 <5.0

chevy= 5.0<5.7

Hondas= b16<h22or b18

nissan= 2.0 AKA sr20dettttttt < 2.4 AKA KA- Just add a ttttttt

that didn't make sense considering the hayabusa (gsx1300r) has a higher displacement than all the other gixxers. bigger engine in light frame = faster.

The guy in that video mumbles so much I completely misunderstood the contest specs and therefore your comment. I thought it was a contest to build the best 4G63 and was wondering where V8 guys enter into it. I turned the volume way up and realized I had heard wrong.

That's a pretty narrow focused contest (hp/displacement) and does not reflect the realities of the V8 vs turbo 4 debate. The V8 guys actually made MORE power. They just did it with more displacement, so they didn't win the COMPETITION.

there is no replacement for displacement.

you can substitute it using forced induction to create more power out of the displacement you currently have to try and reach the power of a larger motor with a higher displacement.

The reason smaller cars/lighter cars don't come wtih bigger motors or have more displacement than usually 2.0, 2.4, 3.0, 3.5 ,among others, is because they don't need it to haul the weight around like a big/heavy car would.

I used to think like you man and think a turbo would solve everything...yea it's fun but all it takes is some big cubic inches to put you back in your place.

if you take two motors and turbo/supercharge them, the one with more displacement will make more power.

nonetheless, KA-TTTTT!!!!! until i go L92!!
