This is exactly true, especially when adding boost into the equation. You can't compare a 2.0 to a 5.0. You can't add a turbo to a 2.0 and compare it to a 5.0 because I can just as easily add a turbo to the 5.0.DrifterXRPS13 wrote:there is no replacement for displacement.
Until you've driven a V8 with a few lbs of boost, you really have no idea what real torque feels like. Hell my K5 makes 350 ft lbs of torque by 3200 rpm and it's a old iron headed TBI 5.7.
The more cubes you have available = the potential to move more air.
