In another thread, Koshin and I decided to dual it out on the dyno and 1320. My stock block KA vs his stock block SR. No real rules other then things have to remain stock inside the motor.

This isn't meant to be an end all to the SR vs KA battle. Just two dudes that talk smack and are actually going to put up or shut up. Koshin hates the KA and I'm famous for my SR hating.

I have almost no budget, so I'll be using a FMU and water injection...lol. I will probably stop at 10 psi do to fuel pressure issues, maybe 12 depending on fuel flow...we'll see. Point is, I'm going to beat him running a bare bones KA tuned with under $300 worth of parts...lol.

I do have a JGS DIY manifold and a really old T4 that I'll be using. The rest will be scrounged from parts I have lying around and whatever I can fab up.

As my S14 sits, it's got 127,000ish miles and no under hood wiring harness. Long story there that involves rabbits So I'll be rewiring my S14 and then redoing my manifold setup and fabbing all new intercooler piping etc. I have mucho work to do and no actual budget because I'm a S-A-H-D

I am going to sell some Plasma though. I get $900 over a months time donating 2 times a week ftmfw So that's my entire budget

I'll be working on it over the winter and have it ready by Nico's big summer event in Omaha.

Keep this clean and on topic fella's.

WD

Challenge extended.....Challenge accepted

I have an internally stock SR....stock head, no emmision control....bolt ons (HKS2510, Greddy FMIC kit and bov, dp/exhaust/02 housing, couple of other tasteful mods...)

Like WD said, this is a grudge thing becasue we are prolly the two most infamous haters of the competition...anyone else who has anything to ad or say, feel more than free...

I know what my car makes at certain boost levels....I tuned the car myself

stay tuned for updates as they come....

I have spoken of doing this for a while....

WD vs. Koshin

SR vs. KA-T

for all the beans

its gonna be great

GAME ON!

Nah, it just seemed potentially pertinent to the cheap KA-T project Brian is proposing.

I'm not a hater either way, I loved my RB and I'd take a CA over the SR or KA anyway.

Ive had a CA before.....good powerplant

but the SR pwns

KA-T's can be done on the cheap....but I never see the budget build last that long...

they pop from what Ive seen....very very often

Im not saying a studded and a good headgasket that it wouldnt last....but the guys that typically do budget KA-T's usually dont go into them that far

they just want MAOR BOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSTTTTTTT

oooooOOOFFFFFFFF!!!

i'll give you that much wrish, ka-t owners usually look for the moar boost option before getting detonation protection...sr owners don't really have to worry about that...initially.

if i had gotten arp studs all around, i think i'd still be driving my puppy and not gathering parts for the lsx.
