Can take the tank to advance/autozone and try hoses.

I thought about it, but I was already ordering the fittings from McMaster-Carr so I figured I'd order some hose as well.

When and where on Saturday is the F&F meet? I'm seeing it Friday night but might as well come hang out before the movie, especially if it's a dinner type thing haha.

yeah, hose that runs to the coolant tank is 5/16 just like the fuel lines.

Fuuu the bearings I bought from ebay don't work, the outer race is too small and the wiggle around in the hubs. I pressed the bearings out of my 4 lug hubs and those work fine, I messed one up while pressing it out though so I still have crazy wheel wobble on one side. Time to order an oem bearing :(

Last I checked, OEM wheel bearings weren't that pricey. ~$90-110 a piece from dealerships. I realize that's more than the parts store (~$30-50) but I would never skimp on wheel bearings, it is way, way too dangerous, esp. if you drift/race/drive at all. Plus, they last for ages, aftermarket ones will die faster.

Yeah, I shouldn't have skimped on bearings. It also turns out that the guy I bought the hubs from drove around with a shot bearing for so long it actually damaged the hub. The inside is worn out so even a new bearing has play once it's pressed in, so now I have to buy one front 5 lug hub.

It's so true.
When I have a hammer, I feel like smacking everything.

Yo, Chris, is your BOV recirc'd?
I just suddenly got curious haha.

My BOV is. It still revs down a bit when I come off of hard throttle though. Some of that might have to do with the BOV placement and the re-circ hose shape. I'm thinking of buying the IC piping kit that Z1motorsports makes for the SR20. It removes two couplers and 4 clamps from the equation. Means fewer places for leaks, plus running the hump couplers at the throttle body and turbo, give the piping plenty of available movement. When i get those, I'm going to relocate the BOV to a better spot.

Nope, mine is atmospheric. A friend just recirc'd his SR and swears it runs 1,000,000 times better, so I might go ahead and recirc mine just to see what difference it makes.

All my coolant stuff came in today, I didn't realize the coolant swirl tank came with everything needed to install it haha. Now I have 2 spare 1/8 npt hose fittings, a bunch of hose clamps, and like 6' of hose. Hopefully I'll have all that installed in the next few weeks, right after I do a coolant flush.

Also, I'm re-drilling one of my 4 lug hubs tomorrow. Ichiba only sells pairs so I would have to buy 2 in order to replace my broken one, so I'm heading to my school's machine shop with the 4 lug hub, a 5 lug rotor, and some feeler gauges in the morning. Hopefully it comes out decently haha.

Razi, which adapters?

Motoman, nope it was the front hubs, but thanks for the offer! The one I re-drilled actually came out really nicely, I'll post some pictures of it once I get them from my friend.

Oh, the ones that are for the water temp sensor and the tee for the swirl tank's bottom hose.

Yep, those came with it. They were in a separate bag though, not sure if they just threw them in or if they were supposed to come with it.

Sweet! Sorry, don't know anyone with j30 stuff. You thinking of using the hubs to go 5 lug?

Here's a picture of my new wheels, I'll update my thread once I get my friend to take some decent pictures. I have all 4 wheels on now, I need to hammer out my wheel wells more as well as pull the rears a little more, I'm rubbing everything as is. 17x9 0 offset, 225/45 all around.

You have so many wheels, Chris!

I bet you could make a throne out of wheels and judge drift events.

Haha I do have quite a few wheels, I have 8 Starion wheels and now the new ones. Dubs, the new ones are KMC Hot Wheels, they actually have the Hot Wheels logo on the center cap haha. I hammered my front wheel wells more today as well as raised the back about 1/4" (gasp) but now the rears only rub under a lot of compression and the front barely rubs at full lock.

Here's a couple pictures of my re-drilled hub, I really don't know why I didn't do this sooner haha.

so im thinking i might get a rear sub frame thats in better condition than the one that i have. I have a z32 diff, 180sx axles, and hubs, so I would just mount everything on the newer sub frame, drop the old one and mount the new one. do you think that would be harder than installing everything on the existing sub frame?

Done with 1st yr of nursing school as of noon Monday. So glad I have the next 3 months off. This will be my first break since May of 2009. I should find out what I made in the class by tomorrow night. Now maybe I'll have time to work on the car when I need to.

Ha! By off biggie, I mean instead of working full-time and school full-time, I'm just working full-time. Side note I just thought about, I've been in school (primary/secondary/collegiate) since I was four (started early) until now (I'll be 28 in August) with just a two year break. Come September, I'll have been in school 23 out of the last 28 years, and I'll still have another 4-5 years of school at minimum to get to where I want to be. I'm going to be in school for far too long :frown:

I went from 5 to 24 with no break. Including the last 4 summers spent in summer classes and working from 16 to 24 (except freshman year of college). Got real tired of school. Probably the reason I'll never go back for MBA or to get my other 2 degrees that I'm only 7-8 classes away from getting.

In one more year I'll finally own my education (10 yr financial payment plan will be done).
