I need to wash my car too.
I haven't washed it in forever!

But I'm going to a meet tomorrow night so that might motivate me to wash this thing..

I have a one-car carport, but usually when it rains, it'll come in at an angle and get about half of the car and carport wet :/ Spooled, SR's do have a nice rumble (for a 4-banger), especially when they're open downpipe. That was a fun few miles when we did that :)

Since it rained all day I worked in the garage, new exhaust on Vert and put on extra capacity diff cover on the Coupe. Also early run to pullapart for 2 sets of Altima fans.

Now tomorrow can wash and wax the G.

Love holidays off from work, need more of them.

Congrats on job. I really don't want to be at mine today.

Drove the Vert to work, ever get that feeling that you are in a really slow car? :)

Full time, sweeeet!

I'm about to order a new coolant reservoir as well as a new rad cap, both of mine are leaking. Anything else I should order before doing a coolant system flush/upgrade?

PBM's swirl tanks make bleeding super easy!

Baller ones are 100, the regular ones are 60.

Comes with a rad cap too.

Chris, might as well replace any coolant hoses that are over 2 yrs old, install a new thermostat, new coolant temp sensor (ECU one) and the water pump too if it has more than 50k miles or so on it. OEM parts for pump, thermo, and sensor.

Thanks Razi, I've thought about getting one so I guess now is the time. A few questions though - I plan on putting a water temp sender at my stock bleeder location, it's already tapped for 5/8 npt. Is it a necessity to run one of the lines there? It says I can just cap it off, but I want it to function as well as it can haha. Also, the rad cap that it comes with is a 16 psi one, would there be any benefit to getting the greddy 18 psi one that is currently in my frsport shopping cart?

Homeslice, I replaced the hoses pretty recently as well as that sensor, I have a new water pump and thermo but those will go on my engine once I'm done with the rebuild. Thanks for the tips though!

Not sure a water temp sensor will fit at the bleeder hole, might be too long. But also it won't be 1/8NPT, would have to be tapped.

Oh and if you are in NC currently come out to Movie/Dinner meet Saturday (5 fast 5 furious).

Yeah I guess the GReddy 18psi one could help.

I'm not using the port that uses the bleeder screw and it's been working fine for me!

I don't know what size thread the water temp sensors use, but I just put my sensor into an adapter like PBM sells at the bottom of that page.

I didn't think of that, where do people normally put water temp senders? I'm going to order the lower coolant hose adapter thing for the swirl tank, should I order two and run the water temp sensor on one and the swirl tank return on the other?

I also need to check what size my bleeder screw hole has been tapped to, I could have sworn it was 5/8 npt but all these senders are 1/8 npt.

Yeah, you should order 2.
I put mine on the top hose to see the temps of the water that comes out.

I'm still using the same water hoses my car came with. :couch
I should probably change em when I install my t-stat. Haha.

Haha yeah you might want to replace those. Here's the list, let me know if you think I should get anything else.

Circuit Sports aluminum coolant reservoir
Greddy 18psi radiator cap
PBM Swirl tank
PBM water hose adapter X2

Then at some point down the road I'll order an aftermarket water temp gauge and install the 2nd water hose adapter on the top radiator hose.

I just replaced my coolant temp sensor and my car runs 10,000 times better, although it does still make this gawd awful sound.

I'm actually thinking about doing that.

I hate the way the brake lights and stuff look with my clear taillights.

I've done all the research, I just need to figure out how I want to mount em and stuff. :\

Om nom.

I thought about mounting the LEDs a bit further back so the light blends and just looks like a full bar of light

I'd be down to make kits or something!

You got dem hookups!

Last question about coolant stuff - anyone know off the top of their head the size of the hose running to/from the coolant res and the swirl tank? I need to order 2 1/8" npt barb hose fittings as well as some hose from McMaster-Carr but don't know what size barb/hose to get.

I think it's the same size as our fuel hose.
5/16 I think..
