Let me know if you find it bc yeah, extrudehoned (or something like that) charges $485 for standard honing on 4 cylinder manis and $585 if you want it gasket matched.

WC!
Find the cheap alternative asap! :P
Motoman shipped my manifold today and it should be here Wednesday. Woot!

I also found this graph that shows the difference between the stock SR manifold and the Tomei Expreme manifold.
I don't know how accurate it is.

I'm guessing you can get similar improvements with a good smoothing and porting of the stock manifold.

That's a lot of purple and gold.

I really don't want to be working, too much to get done to cars and house. At least next Friday is holiday.

Wait...traction rod underneath the flca? Can someone explain? Makes sense if he's really low, but are there any other effects of it?

It probably won't change how the suspension works.
Maybe it acts as a bump stop for his tierod?

I found a two year old Dell that my mom and stepdad have. He bought it thinking he'd go back to school, but since he didn't, they've never used it. It's still in the box. They are giving it to me for cost of shipping. It's fairly basic, but will work for the time being. I'll probably save mine's tower since it's full-size and will accomodate newer components. I'm sure i can rebuild/replace a lot of components for $300-500 and have a really good computer, esp. since i don't game on it.

Free computer FTW!

We had a few tornadoes come through here on Saturday, scary stuff. A few blocks in either direction of where I work got some damage, and downtown Raleigh got hit really hard.

Nature ftl!

Oh yeah, I put on my KA/SR hybrid manifold last week.
God what a pain in the butt that turned out to be.
I ended up having to take it to the machine shop to get the flanges machined flat so they sat nicely.

But now it pulls so nicely without the leaks! Woot!

Yeah a little.
I get a pretty cool changing of engine noise as I go from around 2500rpm to 3000rpm.
Kinda hard to explain it though.

It's also a bit quieter than it used to be at idle, and my cabin isn't filled with the exhaust drone on the freeway.

My favorite part is the huge clearance I have from the brake lines.
It used to be like less than 1cm distance between the manifold and the brake lines.

Oh yeah, I chipped a piece of our driveway with my downpipe today. :(
Gotta get that fixed...

Ryon posted? Or was that WD poking fun? :) Chris, those storms that you had, are the same ones that spawned tornados in alabama and georgia too. Those were some nasty storms.

Basically the same system. Eastern NC had 26 tornados in a few hours span. 23 or so people dead in NC, including 4 kids in the same house.

Ah, day off tomorrow.

New Vert catback should be here tomorrow, put it on and will finally be able to drive Vert again. But of course 70% chance of rain tomorrow on a holiday.

^never fails man. I have a one-car carport, but usually when it rains, it'll come in at an angle and get about half of the car and carport wet :/ Spooled, SR's do have a nice rumble (for a 4-banger), especially when they're open downpipe. That was a fun few miles when we did that :)

At least there's plenty of room in my garage for work.

But wanted to wash and wax my G tomorrow, guess it'll have to wait until Sunday or so.

I need to wash and wax all of the cars after all these storms we've had, but that'll have to wait until next week after clinicals are over.
