Is it okay to spray windshield washer fluid on the radiator/intercooler?
It's a bit soapy so it'll probably make it all dirty right?

Can you run pure water with the windshield washer pumps?

Soap gets things dirty!? Damnit, ive been doin it wrong this whole time

How often do you plan on spraying the radiator/intercooler? At certain temps or something?

Plus the canister you plan on using has to have a decent capacity for it to be effective, doesnt it?

Ohh I like where you're going with this Razi haha.

Pure water shouldn't hurt it, you should be good to go.

I thought that soapy water might leave some residue on the radiator.
But I'm not really sure what the washer fluid is.

Fo sho!

I got a rear washer pump + rear wiper button from a hatchback.
Except this washer pump will spray my radiator and intercooler, not my rear window. :P

Right now I'm just wondering if I should install this pump on the washer tank and just run water in there, or leave the washer fluid and the tank alone and make a separate tank for this spray setup.

I say make another tank and mount it somewhere hidden, maybe under your radiator cooling panel? I think it would be too hard to modify the existing tank for a double pump setup.

The coupe's tank still has a space for the 2nd washer, it just never came with one.
So I could drill a new hole.
But I think I should just leave it alone haha.

I actually thought about using an empty 1qt oil container and just ziptieing it somewhere but that might be too ghetto haha.
I think I'm gonna go to Wal-mart and see what I can modify to use.

If you really want the intercooler sprayer to be super effective, hook up a CO2 canister to a spray bar/loop as well. Spray the water, then hit it with the CO2. That'll super cool the water. I still haven't modified my stock washer pump assembly to fit around the intercooler piping. I hope it still works since it's been sitting in a box all these years.

I planned on putting my modified SR manifold on this spring break, but I haven't gotten the manifold yet from Motoman. :(

But this simple spray setup should keep me entertained.

Try to tighten up an exhaust leak on my Vert and repair the clearcoat on the CF for it, then it starts raining as soon as I'm ready for a test drive. SOB.

^ that's usually how it happens. Or even better, you get a ton of little things tidied up and/or fixed, drive the car, and something else breaks. Happened to me a few times. Spooled, if the intercooler is that large, aren't you suffering pressure loss and increasing lag bc it's too large for the turbo?

Biggie, those were some pretty crazy storms that rolled through tonight.

My wastegate actuator arm fell off the flapper, full time open wastegate FTL.

Wasn't too bad here. Last week during the night was insane, though my house was coming down around 2-3am.

nah my turbo spools pretty good, I can spool 5 psi at around 2200 rpms...power band kicks in at 3K
it's the typical 31"x3"x 12" funny part is that less than half of it is actually exposed to the outside lol

Hahaha mine is like that.

Most of it is stuffed behind the bumper support.

Not bad then as long as transient response is good too, which if it's boosting that quickly, shouldn't be an issue either. My IC is hidden by part of the bumper too, it's the old Greddy M-Spec kit. In the summer, it'll be hot to the touch on the hot side, but ambient temp on the cold side. I've wrapped the entire hot side piping with exhaust wrap though. That alone really brought underhood temps down. The cold side pipe will get a bit warm again at the throttle body bc of the radiator being right in front of it. Wrapping the cold piping in heat reflective wrapping/tape is one of my plans for the summer. I also hope have my exh. manifold extrude honed and heat coated as well, but we'll see on that one.

WAY to much.

Just need some cheap nylon tube, some spray nozzles and the already attained pump. Something like this...

Then you just need a boost switch, relay, fuse, electrical tape and wire.

BTW, extrude hone is a rip imho. I think they charge like $500 for a 4 cyl exhaust manifold. There is a cheaper alternative that uses a "power putty" method also but I'll have to search around to find it.
