Where do you drift? Is it at that go-kart place in Riverside?A guy in this area with a FC Rx-7 told me I should go there, since he goes there whenever he can.

I'm a complete noob so I'll probably make a fool of myself the first couple of tries.
ummm i'd rather not say where i drift I went to that drifting place in riverside last week and it was pretty sick, I didn't drift I just watched. I'm alright, I can just do little drifts here and there and some figure eights.. nothin too special lol

Haha understandable.

btw. I searched a little and it seems like people are setting their bov to a good setting just by trial and error. But is there a way to set it to the proper stiffness besides doing trial and error?

I don't think my bov is engaging.

Trial and error really is the only way to go. Set it to the softest setting you can, the screw or w/e backed out all the way.

Where is your BOV vac sourced from?

at 7-8 psi, your BOV should be work perfect even at the softest setting. My greddy type rs is like a few threads adjusted in which is pretty soft. You want your BOV adjusted to the softest setting without loosing boost.

I can usually spool about 5-7 psi at 2500 rpms, shift, and get an instant 5 psi at 2000 rpms (after the rpm's drop) that's how I know my bov is working

Where did you buy your water temp sensor from (autometer gauge one)?

It came with it :D

Only thing I need to do is make my exhaust be further away from the bumper, bump my idle up a little (it drops low now), and bleed my coolant since I think there are a few air bubbles in there.

Should I have the engine running when I open the bleeder valve and pour in water at the radiator cap? Or keep it off?

Oh btw, since some of you in this thread haven't seen my engine.Picturezzzzz!

My dad repainted some stuff so no copper, colorful silicone, etc... is showing.

keep the engine off or it will blast coolant out of the bleeder valve and the cap, not good.

That's what I thought.

Feels good to have my car running now! And having gauges makes me feel better too, I don't feel blind about what's going on in my engine now.

Do you have a wideband? Is it necessary?

Not true, iv run the Ka a few times back in the day when i was having this problem with the bleeder valve off. As long as you have your rad cap off too your fine.

No AFR gauge at the moment. It doesn't smell like it's running too rich though :P

What is a good psi for oil at idle and warm up?And I think my engine is still running a little warm, around 200 degrees in the city.

I'm wondering because my car leaked water from a crack in the radiator, and a leak at the oil feed line today on the freeway. Somehow the KA lived through being babied into the city with barely any oil and water.

It got fresh coolant and oil (10w-30 this time, no more 5w-30)

zer...boostI made a thread in 240 gen.
