Thanks! :D

I am waiting on a few things, i need to get my HKS BOV and hotpipe setup and a FPR (which will most likely end up being a brand new stock one). I also am waiting on an S14 Grounding cable.

I am selling a few things also.

All are brand new.

SUN Auto Japan Hyper Grounding kit (Gold plated) the best grounding kit available ~ $125 obo

Greddy Hotpipe S13 SR or KA-T ~ $80 obo

PBM Rear traction rods $150 obo

Thanks!!

For an update, i have installed my grounding cable. I first was going to go with a SUN Auto Japan grounding kit with all gold contact points. I have however decided against that (after purchasing it) and have went with a brand new OEM cable. This cable is from a 98' S14 which is a longer cable than the S13 one. I decided to go with an OEM cable to keep my clean look going, plus it has gold plated contacts as well so it will be great.

Here it is installed, first to the radiator support since i don't have my battery tray any more.

Then i routed it to the engine block

It fit nicely, i was very satisfied with it.

I have also been working on my intercooler piping some, i had to get a few holes plugged in them so i had some 1/8" CNC discs made and had them welded on, they turned out pretty clean IMO. I will get some pictures of those up soon.

I have also decided to get a SARD Fuel pressure regulator, so that is also on its way.

I suppose that is all for now, i will hopefully be able to work on the car a bit more soon. I have to pay for a lot of dental bills right now so that is holding me back a bit

Time for some cranberry juice and then sleep.

Very nice build, I love clean builds like this. It shows you take pride in what you have. I noticed that you have a Driveshaft Shop Aluminum Driveshaft. Did you notice a big diff in rosponse or any at all? I ask because I will be working on my drivetrain next and would love to get one of these if it helps my acceleration. :gapteeth:

Thanks a ton, i definitely love taking my time and making things right the first time. I have seen too many sloppy builds, and as clean as my KA setup was, this has to be at least that clean or i will not be satisfied with it at all.

As far as the Driveshaft goes, it is very very nice, i definitely noticed a difference in overall feel, acceleration was definitely great. I personally hate the 2 piece driveshaft design with the amount of slop involved in it, i would much rather it be straight to the point. It is a GREAT upgrade i would recommend to anyone. The Driveshaft shop one is great quality, they come with re-greasable U-Joints which is a big plus, the Shaftmasters one piece aluminum shaft is also nice quality, it does not have the re-greasable U-Joints but they are still replaceable. Either way i would definitely recommend purchasing one of the two! Any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks a lot man, I can't wait to start seeing what you end up doing. You can definitely ask my anything, i believe you still have my direct email address as well. :bigthumb: I can't believe you got that cold pipe for $30!!! That is insane! Sometimes you luck out like that. Congratulations though on saving over $100 on it.
Good luck, and make sure to take your time pulling the engine out.

How has the Greddy Imformeter touch been working out for you? How many things can it read at once on the same screen? I'm thinking of getting one instead of having 300,000 guages. I've always hated the 747 airplain look on street cars.

Well, the car is not running yet, i have not had too much time lately with work and all. It can show a lot of stuff on the screen at once and is definitely a better setup in my opinion than having a gorgillion gauges.

I am just using it for now, I will be changing it out when i rebuild the turbo. I would love to run the Tomei manifold but since it does not work with the cobra i will have to find something of equal quality. I may go with the HKS manifold, otherwise i may end up with something cheap like ISIS or Megan.

For the record i just got home from the ER, horrible allergic reaction to Bactrim.

(I guess i use this thread as a blog lol)

Goodnight

Do you have the heatshield for the stock manifold?
I might be interested in buying it, if you end up selling it. ;)

Don't know if I've said this yet, but awesome build dude!

Yeah we will see, if the HKS fits without modifying anything else or moving the stock catch can device then i may just go with it.

That Tomei mani is def a sexy piece I will be getting one when income tax season comes in a few months. As far as the HKS mani goes, I would def buy it if I had no choice. True Isis and Magen are cheaper but quality is quality. HKS also does alot of R&D on their parts which is the reason they cost so much. The $1k price is fair considering that you're getting a well built part instaead of something some guy put together in his garage. :chuckle: It's like the intake manifold you have, sure you could have bought the Isis mani for $200 but you got the GReddy mani because of it's quality and R&D :yesnod .

Yeah Riq exactly, that is why i most likely will be going with the HKS Mani anyways. I love the Tomei manifold and its cost is very fair i'm just dissapointed that they did not keep the turbo in the stock location. We will see when that time comes, i just wish there was another good alternative.

Yasko wrote:Ya but it's a non moving part, worst could happen is you get a leak. I understand the quality isn't even close, but for the price you could buy 5 isis ones for 1 hks. idk...Just trying to save you some money.

Edit: just don't think you can go wrong on either one for a manifold.
Yeah i understand, i am mainly concerned about fitment. I will dig up some reviews and see what info i can find.
