I´m searching some for my swap and want to get rid of my e-fans. :yesnod
I got the Fan shroud from my friend Ray at the Nismo Shop. He can also get the Fan clutches, he may still have one in stock right now otherwise get the part number and order it from RHDJapan. They both ship pretty quick :)

I'm still thinking the HKS mani. I really would love to do the Tomei, hands down but unless PBM comes out with a pipe that will work with it, i will be buying the HKS.

why not that extrude home and ceramic coat the stock one. it be cheaper. and flow just as good if not better. for 1000 you could pick up a used topmount and pay for part of a turb0

Hey david i just test fitted the greddy intake mani on my sr20 and the original greddy cold pipe worked. The other one must be for the greddy TB or something. i will post some pics of both pipes on the car on my thread in case your interested. I hope this clears up some confusion for some people. Keep up the good work and the ideas coming for the rest of us.

Hmm, no idea really. I would try asking RHDJapan and see. I like the clear stuff because it is easy to see air bubbles but if you really want the blue i am sure it can be found. :dblthumb:

I will be updating this thread SOOONN.

So as you might have noticed i have been very busy and have not been updating this thread as often. :/ Well it is because i have been working a lot and have not had much time to do much more with my build.

Well i will start where i left off.

The next thing i did was install a SARD Fuel pressure regulator. I have heard great things about them and decided to go with this instead of going with a brand new stock unit.

I made a line from both bolt holes on the shock tower in order to create a straight axis which i could like the edge of the SARD mount up with so it was at a proper angle since i was only using one bolt to mount it. Any time i mount something with a single bolt i use Titanium hardware. So i picked up this bolt from Ryan Hampton at Baller Bolts.

Mmmmmm. Burnt titanium goodness. :)

I also hooked up the Fuel return line.

Image

Image

Looks Good?

The Cold pipe was also installed!

Image

Image

Next up was the oil change. I had left the Mobil 1 oil in there because i didnt want to leave it without oil in there at all.
The oil was drained and i installed a brand new Greddy Drain plug(Which i need to find the picture of)

I also bought a brand new dip stick and Stock Oil cap(Oil Cap has the same part number as SOHC KA)(Need to find these pictures also)

I decided to go with the Power Enterprise MAG Power II oil filter which has a magnet at the end of the filter in a cone to catch any metal particles that may get through there.

Image

I have also ran Royal Purple oil in my KA for a long time with good results, changed every 1500-3000 depending on the driving style.

So i decided to go with 10w40 Royal Purple in the SR.

Image

[/b]

Well I guess that wraps it up for now, i will hopefully have some time to find the rest of the images and i should get some time to work on it more within the next few weeks. I will keep you updated with the parts i receive and decide to buy.

Here is also a picture of a CA18DE-T that a good friend of mine has; which we have been putting together for awhile.

Image

Here is something i am considering buying but i am not sure yet.

Image

Have an amazing night

Just probably not that amazing.

Here i am again, i have been busy with work and just got back from Round 1 of Formula D with some good friends of mine.

Anyways i worked on the car a bit last week and got a few things put together.

For my Fuel Rail Fittings i decided to go with the Nismo Adapter fitting.

Image
Image

Since i was running the Nismo Fitting i also have to run the Greddy swivel adapter since i have the Greddy intake manifold.

Image

Without this swivel adapter the nismo fitting is too close to the Greddy manifold and makes it hard to run the fuel line.

O-ring is lubed up with Royal Purple and is ready to get installed.

Image

I lined up everything the way i wanted it and then tightened it all down.

Image

Image

I then ran another fuel line from my SARD Regulator over to the Nismo fitting.

Image

Image

Image

Awesome.

Next up i worked on assembling and mounting my Greddy Catch Can.

Image

Here is the can assembled and ready for action! :)

Image

I had came up with a plan to purchase a Grade 5 titatnium bolt (which i would be making into a stud) with 50mm of thread and a titanium nut which i would be using to mount the can to the radiator support.

Image

I also purchased a few aluminum spacers with the same Inner and Outter diameter but different lengths so i could test the clearance from the radiator support.

Image

I then cut the unthreaded portion of the bolt off leaving me with 50mm of threaded titanium that i would be using to mount the can.

Image

Success!

Image

I threaded the stud into place until it bottomed out by hitting the back of the headlight bracket exactly as i planned which would leave me a perfect amount of thread left to place the spacer, can and nut.

Image

I then placed the Aluminum spacer on.

Image

Then the catch can and nut.

Image

Here is the catch can in place :)

Image

I then test fitted the hotpipe to make sure it cleared the can.

Image

Image

Perfect!

Image :naughty:

I also received my Shift Knob! Keep in mind i ordered this a week before the Tsunami hit Japan. Our friends at RHD are doing well and i hope everyone you know over there is doing fine as well.

Here is the Knob from Yashio Factory! :yesnod

Image

Image

Image

Mmmm Sexy!

I then installed the Knob.

Image

I then measured lined up and placed the Shifter Diagram Badge on the top.

Image

I believe i will be changing my oil over to Motul 300v 10w40. It is supposed to be really great stuff. Let me know if you have used it and have any comments. :)

Image

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.

I will be working on installing the hotpipe and running the lines for the catch can soon. As well as routing my wastegate vacuum line.

Time for sleeping.

Alright let me try this again.

Before putting the hotpipe on for the final time; i decided to change the copper washers on the Powersteering pressure line.

Image

I got those two changed with OEM Nissan washers and torqued the bolt to 40 ft lbs.

I then placed the lower hot pipe into place.

Image

Then attached the coupler to the turbo.

Image

Finally the hotpipe :D

Image

So i started hooking up the lines for the catch can and i got one on perfectly but the other side would not clear the hotpipe. I got an angle finder and messed around with a few angles and found that rotating the fitting to 70 degrees from the top of the can would work perfectly.

Image

Looking better :)
Image

Image

Image

Image

Got it all routed the way i wanted it and attached it to the intake pipe.

Image

I also needed to run a boost source for the wastegate actuator.

I am using a T fitting made exclusively by HKS (Thanks Alex :D)

Image

Here it is with two 7/32" Vacuum lines on and secured with two micro zip ties!

Image

Here it is in place under the Greddy Intake Manifold

Image

I also have attached a 5/32" Vacuum line which is running to the Boost Gauge adapter for my Greddy Informeter Touch.

Image

From under the Intake Manifold i ran the 7/32" Vacuum line up and along the front of the valve cover.

Image

Image

I then ran it down under the hotpipe

Image

Along the side of the strut tower

Image

Finally up and attached it to the Wastegate actuator :)

Image

I then mounted my new OEM coolant resevoir and that is where i left it.

Image

I am looking at batteries and mounts and will most likely be going with a Braille setup.

I am switching my oil to Motul 300V Chrono 10w40 and the Transmission and Diff fluid to Motul Gear300 75w90.

We have recently started running those fluids in my friends CA powered 240 as well.

Image

Image

Please give your feedback on the Fluid if you have had any experience or heard anything about it.

Hope you enjoy the update.

Time for bed

Do you have the same thread like this for Ka24 motor? I am researching on building a ka24 motor to 350hp or higher, and have some fun before committing to sr20.

Hey Bud, thanks a lot! I actually do not have a build thread for the KA. It had a lot of top name parts but the internals were stock. I set that motor up when it was around 189,000 miles just to make it the way i wanted it and see what it would do with the parts i put on. It was a lot of fun.

What are your plans for the KA build?
Lobo240sx wrote:Very nice build bro. :dblthumb:
Thank you! :) It has came a long way and is still coming along as planned.
