A Quick update, i have been very busy with work as well as building a car for a friend of mine. Anyways, I have decided on what my entire gauge setup will consist of.

It will be a Greddy Informeter touch

Image

I will be hooking everything up to it so it will show me everything the ECU sees as well as boost and oil pressure.
I am going to be mounting it in the allotted space for the DIN, via an aluminum plate mounted to the bezel.

I will get some pictures of the aluminum mounting plate as soon as i can.

Time to play video games!

So i have been pretty busy with work etc the past few weeks/months but i have been doing some stuff to the car.

First off i decided to get rid of my cheapy Circuit Sports short shifter and go back to an OEM Shifter, So i bought everything brand new and installed all of that.

Yay! I still need to get that damn drift button off if anyone has any tips, I may just have to take a dremel to it

Next up i installed my o2 sensor finally!

Image

Image

The Greddy Informeter touch has been ordered and is on its way, i decided it was time to mount the holding plate for it.

First came drilling the holes. I decided to use M4 bolts so the holes were fairly small.

Image

I ordered a set of burnt titanium bolts from Ryan Hampton over at Baller Bolts and he got them to me pretty quick.

I think it turned out alright! :yesnod

More updates coming soon but i have to work early and i am exhausted.

Heres something i think you will all enjoy :inoutgay:

No problem at all man, the only thing is that they cannot get that snap ring. Not the one with the holes in it but the other one that actually holds everything down. Idk why but its not in the blow up diagram haha.

A little bit yes, just because i was able to utilize the stock rubber piece that goes from the transmission mount to the exhauts. Although the rubber piece sags a lot even though it is brand new, so i bought another brand new one that i am going to have someone CNC. I will try it out and if that helps a lot maybe ill start selling them.

Finally, time for a small update. So since i got the Greddy touch unit i have been thinking about how i was going to mount it. I decided i would use that red double sided tape that they sell at most hardware stores.

This stuff is hardcore and holds up to 5 lbs vertical. I used it to mount my front license plate and it saw 100+ enough times to get me to trust it and when the time came to remove it, i nearly broke the license plate trying to get it off. So i think it will hold up well

Image

As you have seen before i am mounting the Greddy Informeter touch to the aluminum plate i have on my center bezel.

Image

I want the unit to be perfectly centered on that plate so i did some measurements and marking with scotch tape to line it up.

Image

Next, i placed the tape on the back of the unit in 3.25" strips which was on the exact flat surface right before it starts curving. This way all of the tape will be contacting the surface.

Image

Isn't that sexy?

Image

Now finally it is mounted. It's basically one shot with this tape because it would be really difficult to get off lol.

Image

Image

For those wondering, the Aluminum plate is 7.25" x 4.50"

The Greddy unit is perfectly centered with 0.6" between the top and bottom, and 1.50" between the sides.

Well, that is it for now. I am hopefully going to be working on the wiring and install for this tomorrow but i dont know how much of that will be documented.

Next up i need to get my Intercooler piping caps welded on for the extra holes on there, and modify my bumper support. Those are the next two things on the list.

Now, time for food!

Image

and hot

Image

Stay tuned.
