I thought it was that the SAFC can't do over 50% fuel adjustment. 50% of 370 is 185, so the SAFC maxes around 555. If the 50% fuel adjustment is true and you're ecu is tunned for 550s, cant you use SAFC to bump to 825 (if you really wanted to). (550 * .50 = 275 275 + 550 = 825)FSUDrifter wrote:
Well I was told that you can't use SAFC with 740's and I'm not really lookin to make any more than 350 right now.
Actually, I didn't install a new dash... I just meant I chose that cluster to cover up the crack. The cluster is an Autometer WRX STI pod. It doesn't fit perfectly to the contour of the dash, but it looks good enough for me.Deadrodent wrote:hey fsu, how was the dash install? I have a small crack and access to a new dash - just wondering how easy it is to accomplish, especially without destroying the new dash...
and by the way, what kind of gauge cluster is that?
I have a couple. What do yuo need to see specifically? I have a ton of pics saved of other sr's.mrzabala wrote:And FSU, do you have any pictures of the engine out ready to go into the engine bay on every angle?
runs good, just gettin checked out.nonvtecaccord wrote:so how does it run? I noticed that your MAF is still close to your turbo.
Probably the most I need to see is a straight shot on the side where the turbo is and also on the other side. I have to re- clock my turbo compressor. Basically I have all the stock sr parts except for ps bracket, piping, and hoses - just to give you an idea of what Im working with. The more pictures the better it will help me get mine in the car. Thanks.FSUDrifter wrote:I have a couple. What do yuo need to see specifically? I have a ton of pics saved of other sr's.
17x9 sportmax 962, +35 all around, 5mm spacers in front, no spacers in back. 235-40's front, 255-45's back. stock suspension, stock brakes.sup4fr34k wrote:what offset are those wheels? and size? Do you have spacers?
thanks, we'll see about the cams. I want to see how fast the car is going to be like this. Like I said before, this is my first turbo car. I'd prefer not saying what shop the car is at until I get it back. I'm getting really paranoid about my car getting stolen having posted all this up on here. At least I'm the only one who knows about all the theft prevention stuff done to the car...jubee wrote:car is comming along nicely man post some pics up . you will love the 2871r its was a blast on my car. only diffrence i had the .86 i fell its much better then the .63. also i would def invest in some cams just to wake that turbo up even more.
BTW what shop has your car? xat, DC???
Did they call and tell you that? Last night I loaned them my z32 maf to see if that was the problem.FSUDrifter wrote:

Car is almost done. I found out my Z32 MAF was bad. Soooo close....
Yeah Im with you on that FSU. I deleted all most post and pictures of my car a week ago. Even though I doubt someone can steal my car without getting caught, you can never be too safe.5FSUDrifter wrote:thanks, we'll see about the cams. That sucks, I'm willing to bet that the bad maf fouled your plugs. I installed the engine in my car today, and the new flywheel bolts will be here tomorrow so hopefully I'll be finished this weekend.FSUDrifter wrote:Please stop jacking my thread. Take it somewhere else.
I'm not a moderator but sig rules are there for a reason, it would be nice if you would respect the NICO community and follow the rules:
Sig Rules
UPDATE:
I went to pick the car up yesterday, but it was still misfiring a little at higher rpm's under load, so hopefully they can figure it out be next weekend.
Actually he changed the plugs, but I don't know if that was before or after he put your MAF on.Geno750 wrote:That sucks, I'm willing to bet that the bad maf fouled your plugs. Don't worry about it, the guys at the shop know we know each other. Today they let me go over to your car and look at the boost lines so I could make sure I got them right on my car (I did). I got the dodge omni flywheel bolts to replace the 3 necked ones. Well 4 actually since I have to keep the thing balanced, so I should have the car together tonight or tomorrow.FSUDrifter wrote:

btw your maf is still there, I'll probably be back next weekend and I can get it for you, if not I can get someone to take it to your house or something. I'm getting a reman one but it takes like a week to get it.
No problem man, I am glad I my parts were able to help you, and I got to make sure they workFSUDrifter wrote:Thanks for all the help.
UPDATE:
The problem was the BOV. I ran the car with a R2D2 BOV and it ran way better. It's pretty fast. I'm ordering the 11psi spring from Tial, and hopefully that will clear up the stuttering issues.
I need softer mounts, anyone ever try these?

yo 70 bucks for those is BS... there was a thread someplace around here that showed how to make those for like 15 bucks... all it is is some epoxy resin polyethylene **** and some threaded rod...FSUDrifter wrote:Thanks for all the help.

Greg said those mounts he made cost $56. I ordered them. $70 is worth the time it would take me to make those and the peace of mind knowing they should be reliable coming from a real manufacturer. I'll do a review when I install them.travis newberry wrote:
