Thanks,Moe
spacers from egay, universal 4 lug like $10 or something. probably will vibrate at high speeds because they are not hubcentric. I'm just using them temporarily until I get a real suspension setup because everything changes with coilovers.FSUDrifter wrote:

I never liked the look of those things. why not just buy a 1/8npt tape, a drillbit, and a 1/8npt barb fitting? probably would of cost less and looked better.FSUDrifter wrote:ORDERED: - New 11psi spring for TiAL BOV - Quicktap for boost signal closer to the turbo
Make sure you have all the bolts. You have to take the valve cover off to get to the 2 that are inside the head. You also have to remove the CAS to get to one of them. And, you have to take off the upper and lower oil pan to get to those bolts.mrzabala wrote:Hey Josh, was wondering, how did you take off your front cover/oilpump? I didnt want to rish breaking off a piece since theres groovers for my flat head screw driver to fit and hammer. Its really tough and I can get anything slim enough to slide and start prying. I got my crank pulley off and replaced my front seal. I probably wont take it off unless I replace the seal again so just wondering how you did it? Btw, hows the progress so far on your car?
well thats kind the point, correct me if im wrong...they are stiff so the motor is more "firm" on acceleration, kinda like the same point of an engine tourque dampener.brandonb012 wrote:they didnt come off, he took them off after driving the car for 15 he said they vibrated like crazy and didnt feal good to him at all..
id still try them since you already ordered them, but after you get them installed give me your impressions of the mounts, he might have just got a bad set!!
correct, with a firm or solid mount a good bit of vibration is normal.corey240 wrote:well thats kind the point, correct me if im wrong...they are stiff so the motor is more "firm" on acceleration, kinda like the same point of an engine tourque dampener.
looks like it will leak to me but I could be wrong.karmakaze wrote:

I know people that have them and they work great.nonvtecaccord wrote: looks like it will leak to me but I could be wrong.
I have nismo mounts that i reinforced with liquidnails. i have not driven on them though. I do not care about the noise or vibration though. I kind of like the idea of being able to get female passengers off.nonvtecaccord wrote:I've heard of people complaining about their nismos being to hard for DD. I ordered all new oem mounts.
a coment like that = "I've never had a "real" girl friend before." LOL, I'm kidding, I'm kidding but seriously A friend of mine has Energy Suspension motor mounts (the red ones) in his dsm (yes I know its a dsm) and they vibrate so much I don't like to ride with him, it gives me a headache. They are so stiff his dashboard moves up and down when he shifts hard.karmakaze wrote:I kind of like the idea of being able to get female passengers off.
Yeah, now that I think of it, if its tight enough it should seal properly. But it seems like a quick fix vs. a actual nipple in a hard pipe.FSUDrifter wrote:

Having ridden in the car, I can tell you its not like the back seat on a Harley Davidson. The dash rattles so loud you can't hear the exhaust. FSU and I had to shout to each other so we could carry on a conversation, definitely too loud for a DD.karmakaze wrote:

i put used sportlines on some tokico blue's on the front and the rear shocks are blown, that should be adequate for those speeds... lolGeno750 wrote:Ah yes I-10 is fun, but 150mph on stock suspension must of been a little scary but I can't really say anything, I tested my TRE on the gixxer on I-10 by getting up to an indicated 186mph
http://www.splparts.com is where you want to go for the fitting for your oil pressure gauge, they sell the bspt fitting that will thread into where the stock sending unit goes. You can also get a t fitting that will let you use the stock sender as well as the the one for the gauge. I just ordered one, it was $15 shipped.FSUDrifter wrote:Ordered:- 180sx marker lights for my aero bumper- oem sideskirts- oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp gauges- ati steering column pod
I'm trying to figure out how to hook up my oil gauges, sandwich adapter seems like a good idea. I know this looks shady as crap, but what do you think about this thing? ebay adapter They said if I had any problems they would refund me but not shipping or restocking fee.
I know greddy makes one too but it's like $60.
Pics up later... 3 exams today
