you unplug the motors everytime?? hahaha thats really funny. i have one switch on my car, it controls the sleepy eyes, and the lights can be turned on anytime i want. if i get bored ill do a write up, but for now you can try to figure the SIMPLE splice on your own.

yeah im kinda curious as to how theh light stays on. im thinkin you by pass a relay. since its supposed to wait for the lights to come all the way up and then switch on. thats why i believe its a relay.

ahh, much easier than you all think, its one splice, just a switch put into a wire.

yeah i know, but what color! And give me a hint, do you have to find the wire in the signal turn is? (cause the light switch would be there.)

ok. so splice the light blue wire from the fuse box to a switch, i presume. anyway, is that the only light blue one? or are there a few.

to keep the lights on while in sleepy mode i just removed the relay in the fuse box on the passenger side under hood (89) then shorted it with a wire .. think it was #4 and #6 .. id have to check but im sure thats what i did .. also i just installed a switch spliced into the same wire that uve guys been talking about on the up and down switch .. i just hit the switch to pick em up turn it off and they stay up .. then hit my second switch to set them where i want ... i also got a lazy motor .. so i have to adjust my drivers side a lil .. not much .. but looks tyte .. if i had a digi cam id take a pic .. but dont ;) but if u need to know more let me know ill help u out .. [email protected]

EDIT: Damn typos

lol if you read earlier, there is a method that does not involve installing a switch. It works like your switch method, but just splicing the wire.

I am interested in your short in the fuse box under the hood. Care to elaborate more on "shorting"? Do you mean just cut the wire? And yeah if you could check which relay and what wires it is, that'd be great! Thanks :)

ok, just put a switch into the tiny baby blue wire at the kick panel fuse box. its the wire to the the headlight motors, you can use the diagram to help you find it.

to get to it, remove the 3 10mm bolts holding the fuse panel in place, and swing it around. its TIGHT in there, but a splice can easily be made.

no work under the hood, nothing removed. when the switch is "on" absolutly nothing is changed from stock. when off, the light dont move, and they can be turned on.

ok, i lucked out and found the pics.

take the kickpanel off, youll see this:

take off the 10mm bolts, and swing the panel out (zip ties may need to be removed)

splice this wire, baby blue.:

end result:

lol oh ic. you just spliced the motor line. I guess we want to know how to leave the lights on with the method in the VERY FIRST post. So if anyone knows how, that'd be great!
